How to get the best rate?

We stayed at the Poly in January and had the best vaca of our lives. Can anyone tell me - what is the best way to get a great deal on this resort rate in January? I have AAA and used that for a discount this time. For next year what is the best strategy? Should I get the annual pass?

I did opt for buying an AP for our trip, because it did save us a few hundred dollars over AAA and the savings was more than the AP. I don't know that this is always the case--we have 3 DSs, and the DE card was a big saver, too, which you can only get if you're an AP holder or FL res. I would say when you're ready to plan again, ask for someone to check the AP rates for you. THat way you can compare and you'll know if it's worth buying one.

If you plan on going for more than 10 days in a 12 month period, get the AP. The Poly room discount will be a bonus if they have one, which usually they do in January. You can always wait and see if one is released for your travel time, then book it with the code and buy your AP when you arrive. (Thank goodness they did away with Best Rate so this can be done again!)
