how to get from MK to Downtown Diswney

Go right out of dtd and then take another right as if you were going to Old Key west. Then turn left at the second stop light and it will take you to 'all theme parks' and then the exit for the mk will be on your far left.

you would have to go to a resort first, so you may want to get a bus there going to one of the MK resorts like contempory, grand floridian, or Poly, from there, hop on monorail.

You could take a bus to Saratoga Springs Resort and walk to Downtown Disney. Or take the monorail to one of the resorts and then go to the bus stop and hop on a Downtown Disney bus.

We often walked (it's not far, honest! ) to Polynesian Resort from the TTC, then caught a bus from there to DTD. For returning to the TTC, we just caught the first available bus to any of the MK resorts and then took the bus/monorail from there.

BTW - it's a nice way to see a little of the different resorts on-site!

I walk to the Contemporary (no wait for monorail then) and take the bus from there.

Last Dec I walk to the Comtemporary and took bus to DTD.
