How to get from CT to HHI?

Drive from Jacksonville, FL to HHI?

I'm trying to figure out an easy and cheap way to get from Hartford/Bradley to Hilton Head. I can fly SWA to Jacksonville, FL, so how long of a drive would it be from Jacksonville to HHI?

Anyone else from CT have any tips on getting from CT to HHI?

Its about 2 1/2 hours from Jacksonville to HHI. I guess thats an option. We actually like to drive from CT to HHI. But we're crazy!

We flew into Savannah, GA. Hilton Head is about a 45-60 minute drive from the Savannah airport.

We took Delta from LGA, I don't know if that works for you out of BDL.

We usually drive, but decided to try and fly this time. We flew to Savannah, connecting through Atlanta on the way down and Charlotte on the way back.

While I loved the Savannah Airport (small, convenient, and 45 min to HHI), I wouldn't do it again with connections, which is pretty much all thats available through BDL. When you count the time differential going to a connecting airport, add in the layover time, figure SAV is 45-60 minutes to HHI itself, and consider potentially flight delays through the connection, it takes no more time to fly directly to Jacksonville and drive the 2.5 hours from there (and you save the extra headache of changing planes). Even the 4 hours from Atlanta or Charlotte might be worth it if the airfare is right and you don't want to drive the full 14-16 hours.

Another option is to drive 2 hours here and fly out of LGA direct to SAV on Delta, or EWR to SAV on Continental.

Has cheap fares for March/April, limited flights though. Not sure where in CT you are, but might be worth checking out Westchester airport on CT/NY line.
