Totally confused on this. We have our room at the BWV, and dinner reservations at Cali Grill. SOOOOOOOOOOO....how do we get there? I know you can't go from hotel to hotel via disney transportation, right? Don't you have to go to a park and then catch the appropriate bus to whatever hotel you want to visit, right?

So, I had the BRILLANT idea of catching the monorail at Epcot (since it's in walking distance from BWV) and then taking it to the Contemporary. BUT, I don't want to have to use up a day on our hopper passes just to catch the monorail (the day of our ressie is our NONpark day). So, what's the best way for us to get there?

We are also staying at BWV and on the night we're going to Chef Mickey's we plan to ketch the bus to MK then monorail over.

You have two options.....take the MK bus from BW, then walk over to the CR via the pathway. It should take about 8 mins to walk it. Or, you can walk to MGM from BW, about 15 mins, along the path beside the canal, and take the CR bus from there.

Several variations on the previous post:

1. Bus to MK then walk or monorail to Contemporary.
2. Walk or boat to MGM then bus to Contemporary.
3. Bus to DTD then Bus to Contemporary.

As others have said, the bus to the MK, then monorail or walk to the Contemporary. The last time we took the bus, the driver asked if anyone was going to the Contemporary. We said yes and he told us to stay onboard, he would take us there. Said he noticed we were dressed for dinner and thought he'd ask. A little pixie dust...

Now, that's 'magical'!!! What a nice thing for the driver to do. Cool beans.

MycatlovesEeyore.....as you can see from my previous post, I agree with numbers 1 and 2. However 3 could take a huge chunk of time. The buses to and from DTD are slow. I would recommend that people avoid using DTD as a 'hub' when the parks are open. Only late at night is it a good option to use DTD to get from one place to another. I've had to wait 35 minutes for a bus to DTD from BW. Then, for the return, from DTD back to BW....another 35-40 mins. Man...I hate traveling to DTD!!

Just to clarify...

I can catch the monorail from MK, without actually having to enter the park, right?
You don't need to actually go into either MK or Epcot to ride the monorail. The monorail station at MK is just past the park entrance, over to the left. It's in the front of the Epcot entrance. Of course, if you wanted to hop on the monorail when coming from BW, you would have to enter Epcot but I'm sure you realized that.

The quickest way would be to take a bus to MK and then walk to CR. Taking the monorail might be the same amount of time (maybe even less, it depends how long of a wait there is). It would definitely be more fun! If you are immediately returning to the BW, I would advice walking back to MK. The monorail stops at two resorts and the TTC before getting back to MK.

The quickest way is to take a taxi. It will cost about $12-$15 each way (incl tip), but will be quick and convenient. Taking Disney transportation between resorts can take 30-90 minutes, depending on the route you choose and how long you have to wait for the transfers.

Best wishes -
