Hi everyone i thought i would start this thread to see if there is anything you could get for free from disney buy telling a little white lie. One i know is that if you went up to the pop corn stall and told them that you droped your pop corn they Must replace it. I was told this from a CM and i have tried it and it does work. :cheer2: :cheer2: :wizard: :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Anyone know anything else???
( I would like to set the record straight i am not cheap and i don't incorrage people to do this, it is just meant as a bit of fun)
looking forward to some replys.

Okay, I'll bite.

But of course this is obtainable without telling any lies, white or not.

Take your kids to the Radio Disney studio located in the Disney Studios right at 3:00 or a few minutes later and the DJ comes out for an autograph/photo session. We have seen BB Good there every time we go and she has always given the kids free Radio Disney merchandise. Everything from sunglasses, pens, pencils, stickers, keyrings, and frisbees, just to name a few.

On our last trip (03/04) BB Good said that she was being transfered to Dallas, so I'm not sure who the DJ is now or if they even broadcast from there anymore, but it is worth it to check it out and see.

how about the harmless white lie we all seem to encourage......

"It's my birthday" so we gete a free pin at each park (possibly other perks, not guaranteed) even though the birthday was days or weeks before we are really there.

We all know that there's no way we used up two bars of Mickey soap every night....even the four of us....it just happens to be one of DD11's favorite souvenier! We don't ever actually use it at WDW, but maybe if we did, we would legitimately require more...

Well, I debated a long time before deciding to comment on this thread topic, (Actually it was just a few minutes)...I'm all for bargains at Disney, but a lie is a lie. Asking for more soap isn't a lie, meeting a DJ who hands out promo things isn't a lie, Saying you're celebrating a birthday from a week ago--not a lie, but saying you dropped your popcorn to get a free refill is just plain out lying! If less people did things like that, we wouldn't need to worry about our budgets so much. It's not harmless. I could go on, but I'll step down now and leave it at that. Just MHO...

I agree with Soupermom. I can't imagine being able to enjoy a popcorn I lied to get. Not flaming the OP- but I think that this could be a fun thread but it has to be either really crazy ideas like "I lost my husband during the 3:00 parade and could I get a new husband and some new park passes since he had them- or basic like the "Birthday pin" idea.

I wonder if Guest Services would issue a new husband, of course the line to customize the new husband would be horrible. They could make it a FastPass

Unfortunately, Radio Disney no longer broadcasts from Disney Studios. They stopped broadcasting from there in May 2004.

Sampling! Disney restaurants ( or at least the one's I ate at) were very good about letting me try samples. I sampled a hefty bite of the meat loaf at 50's Prime Time and a saucer serving of lasagna at Tony's!

I'm not shy, I will ask for a sampling in a heartbeat. :flower:

Has anyone else done this? I often order something at WDW because it looks like it would be interesting, then I hate it. I am too embarrased to give it back (especially at counter service places), so I eat it. It would be great if they would let you taste a sample (or even look at) of something before ordering it and hating it. I think I might be embarrased asking for a sample, though, and even DH would look at me sideways. I want to make reservations at the new Princess lunch in Norway, and would be thrilled if they let me taste something I was thinking of ordering. Wish I would've tasted the offerings at ABC Commissionary before I ordered-then I would never have gotten anything other than a safe burger!

We always ask Mousekeeping for extras!

In May 2004, Mousekeeping placed styrofoam cups in the rooms. (also had glass drinking glasses next to the ice bucket)

Anyways, someone we met from the disboards told us that those styrofoam cups were the same as the coffe cups in the food court! AND THEY WERE RIGHT!

So theoretically, you could have brought your cup to the Food Court and had free coffee. We did this but had the refillable mugs (so it wasn't like we were stealing) We just thought it was easier to throw away our cup when the bus came, rather then pouring out the coffee from the mug.

I REALLY wanted to do this for DS6 and DS11 when we were at Disney in December. DS17, who really did have a birthday during our visit, was livid and absolutely would not allow it. I thought it would be reasonable to choose a day and let each boy call it his birthday, especially since they both had one coming up soon.

I gave in and didn't do it. DS17 made us go to all four parks plus DT Disney on his birthday to get the pins and he enjoyed every minute of the day.

My first thought when I read the post about the popcorn was how unfortunate this would be if everybody started doing this. Disney would be forced to discontinue the practice and then the poor kid that really DID drop his treat would be out of luck. Just the other day, DS11 managed to dump an entire extra large fry on the floor (which was to be shared among the family) after only a couple were eaten. Burger King was gracious enough to give him a new one when he ask.

We're going to be there for my grandaughter's birthday. Where do you get the free pin? Do you mean a birthday button or a regular Disney pin?

My thoughts exactly over the popcorn thing....it's stealing. And we wonder why the costs go up. Eventually even if you did drop it they'll make you pay for a new one. I can't believe they don't ask for the container. I thought I saw refillable containers of popcorn can you bring it back on another day and refill?

I agree with Soupermom as well......a lie is a lie! I wouldn't be able to enjoy the popcorn either!!!! I saw a CM give a little girl another Mickey bar when she dropped hers and her parents yelled you aren't getting another one! The CM told her it was from Mickey, I thought that was really nice. She actually did drop it though.

It is a pin on button, you get them from guest services at each park. Good Luck!!
