How to get FP+ for BOG Lunch?

I'm still more than 50 days out, and know from reading other threads that BOG lunch FP's tend to open at 27 days out...still correct?
I saw the website listed, and went to see how it works, so when my time comes I understand what to do and would be familiar with the system. However, the link opens up right to a page that asks for my name and resort reservation number before I can do anything. I thought I'd give it a try, however the resort reservation spot won't let me put my actual resort reservation number in...so I can't get passed that front page. (My resort reservation number that is linked to MDE is 6 characters long and starts with a Z.)

How do I do this???? It doesn't even let me enter the number to even be able to tell me my dates aren't avail yet. Please walk me thru what I'm supposed to do:) Thanks!

Hello,

The reservation number is actually a 12 digit number with no letters in it. There are many places you can find this second, different confirmation number. The best place to get all of this information is the BOG FP thread on the DIS board for Disney Restaurants under Reservations near the top of the board.

:)

Well, you'll have to have your confirmation # to do anything. Usually begins with a 4, I think, and is 12 digits long, no letters. Go to your MDE acct and then go to the link My Reservations page. Your resort ressie should be at the top. Directly to the right of the Resort Name should be Confirmation # 4xxxxxxxxxxx. That's the number you'll need to use. As far as I remember, it wouldn't let me in to see any dates, until the 27 day mark of my check in date. And, then it only opens one day at a time. So I could see the first day of our trip, and all the ones in the next week were grayed out, unavailable. I wanted a date 5 days after the start of our trip. I had to wait for the 27th day five days from my check in date to get the date I wanted to try to see! Once you get it open, it's pretty easy to see how it works, though it's frustrating not to be able to see ahead of time, lol.

Hopefully, that all makes sense and is helpful! :goodvibes And, yes, you may want to check into the Disney Dining Reservations board here on the Dis.

Thank you all! I will look for the longer reservation number! I had no clue:) And thanks for the tip on where to find a better thread on the topic!

Once you get in you can see dates prior to your 27 days but when you select them it will tell you that nothing is available...this isn't true so don't panic. I used the information on the thread others have mentioned and was able to book mine without any problems. The worst part is that the 27 day window opens at 2 AM...if you aren't particular on a time I've read you can wait until later in the day to get it, but I was limited so it was a late night for me! :-)

Good luck, because no matter what I do, I still can't get anything to show up more than a week out. Even with a hotel reservation. I can't figure out why.

I think you were entering in you confirmation #, your reservation # is different. I actually had to call and ask for it. The CM didn't even know what I was talk ha out and had to transfer me to someone else who was able to give me the number, lol!
Anyway, put that in and you can go ahead into the site but it won't show you any times until you are 27 days from the date you want to eat there.
Unless you're going at a really busy time I wouldn't think you would need to go on at 2 am. I am going at a very low crowd time but I went on at 6:30 am and there was nearly every time available. If you don't like the times given hit refresh until you find a time you like. Good luck!!

Thanks! I realized the number starting with a Z is my Orbitz number, and that for some reason in the ONLY confirmation/reservation number listed in MDE. I called Disney and they had to transfer me to Wholesale to find the actual Disney reservation number. The CM there found it no problem and gave me the long number starting with a 4! Now at least I have the correct info for when my window does open:)

My confirmation# starts with 6YR... I did notice the 12 digit number is linked to my pre-purchase of the memory maker package. That's how I found mine... I went to the MDE portion of the actual website and then scrolled down to my MM area... the number was there!

Seems tougher this year. For me, was avaialble right at 27-28 mark for each day then availability gone after that. Last year I had a few weeks to book.

Where do you go to make the fast pass pick for this?

All the info is in this link:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3310867

I found this where a pp mentioned to look for the thread. It's under the Restaurant board, but it's actually under the Reservations sub thread at the top of the restaurant page. I hadn't looked there, so thanks for that info to the pp! Hope this helps, looks like it has some updated info on the front page stating it seems to be harder to get FP's...if anyone is interested:)

You're welcome! :)

I don't think it opens more than a week, seven days, only, doesn't it? Or as many days as tickets? I did notice that once I got a FP for the day I wanted, I couldn't another one for another day on that trip.

The confirmation numbers are very strange indeed, often being so hard to find for some. Mine have just been right out there next to my resort name. I only had the resort name of the DVC resort I'm renting points for. I've also heard it can be in the address bar at the end of the address, but not sure that page that is in relation to, lol.

They aren't like a regular ride FP. If you go to this link, use your sign in info you use on MDE.

Minniekins - I've seen almost everyone say that their window for BOG FPs opens up about 27 days beforehand. IDK if it's because I have an AP or what, but even with a hotel reservation, I can never check more than a week out.

I've been helping my parents with their upcoming trip & theirs is the same way-they can only book BOG one week out. They are staying on property and have AP's. Last year, when we all traveled together, we were able to book 2 weeks out. Our travel agent told us that its all random now-some guests have been able to book one month out, others one week. Its really annoying!

Oh, I know that it's at 27 days from the check in date that it opens up(I think I said that in another post?). But, I was trying to say that I thought it opened only one day at a time, and I thought that at most it only showed one week out, in my experience. I also had an AP and resort ressie, and you'd think you could see as many days as resort ressie you have, but I couldn't. Like some kind of weird limit, lol.

ETA: I did start thinking, you weren't saying that you can't open anything at day 27 out and can't open anything until one week out, right? I just started wondering if I read your comments wrong, lol.

If you have received your luggage tags, they have the number you need for BOG Fastpass. And the above poster has some good advice. Remember to hit refresh if you want a different time than the one shown at first.

It's VERY annoying, because by the time I'm able to check for times, everything is booked!

Minniekins - correct: I have a trip planned next month, but I can't check for BOG FPs for that time. I can only check for the upcoming week. It's very frustrating.
