My 3 friends and I are planning a trip to WDW to celebrate graduating high school. Me and two other of my friends are totally excited, but one is convinced she hates disney world. (She hasn't been there since she was five...she's obviously delirious.)

I'll just use some initials to avoid confusion lol.
M- Me
A- Disney Lover #1
T- Disney Lover #2
R- Reluctant Disney "hater"

Me and A and T have tried telling her how amazing WDW really is. But R is one of the most stubborn people you will ever meet. "Disney won't make me look good. It won't put nice clothes on my back. We'll be spending money on nothing." (yes, R has actually said that :scared1:)

We have had a few get togethers to start talking about the trip. We've shown her youtube videos of rides. We took her down disney memory lane. We have no idea how to get her to realize what a great place WDW is.

And, we are not going to force her to go. If worse comes to worse, we will tell her if she's not going to TRY to have a good time, I know someone else who wants to come (but can't because we can only afford a studio room that fits 4) and she won't come.

Does anyone have any suggestions to help her reconsider? A, T, and I really want her to go. We have been like the four muskateers and do everything together. R is willing to go, but she's not very happy about it.

you just made a huge whole in my heart

I'm the A part of this group.
I also cant believe R said that. I wish someone took a picture of my face.
I was talking to R tonight and she said she would rather go to a rob thomas concert than disney. She also hasnt told her parents about this trip yet.
I, like, M, really want everyone on this trip together. As one last hoorah, before we go off to college.

She really needs to tell her parents. It will make things 100 times worse if her parents find out last minute.

What are some of the things she likes? If you think about it something that she likes would have to be at Disney World. Everything you could possibly think of is there. I just went in July and had a great time myself.

The thing she loves the most is Twilight. :confused3

Oh, and she likes Meet the Robinsons.

That makes things a little more difficult, but I think the closest thing is some of the stuff at DHS. Sorry I can't think of anything better.

Haha, I'm pretty stumped too. I'm hoping they have a meet the robinsons character or something related to that movie.

Well I went in July so unless they have a special character day, I know that there isnt anything new with those things so that makes things really hard. I have a solution though. Just take me! lol:banana:

Well, you could show her that Tomorrowland and Future World have that whole 'future' vibe going on like Meet the Robinsons.

But honestly, if she doesn't want to go, she'll just put a downer on your entire trip. I say take this other person who WANTS to go.

Just let her pout it out. She will probably end up happy by the end of the trip. If you girls are all really cool with each other, then waiting in the lines will give you time to talk and screw around. That's probably what would have happened if you guys didn't go. No worries!

dude. just stop trying.

I took a friend who was reluctant and had the single worst trip of my life.

tell R that if she's thinking she'll have an awful time, then she isn't invited because this trip is meant to be fun.

It's harsh, but it's better than her wasting her money going someplace she won't have fun and you'll be miserable putting up with her.

Disney isn't for everybody.

Ok one last try:

THERE ARE TONS OF HOT PEOPLE THERE. If that isn't good enough just go with someone else.

I'll reiterate what Patti said.
If she keeps up this attitude now, she'll just ruin your vacation.
It's rude, but uninvite her.
However, if she's that insistent on hating Disney, she just might be happy?

I think she would ruin your vacation. But, if you reallly want her to go with you, tell her parents and maybe they can help... That really stinks that she acts that way and I agree with others, she will ruin your trip if she acts that way.

i wouldn't push her. if you make her go, she's probably not going to have fun. let her go if she wants to, but don't make her. :confused3

What suggestions has R come up with? maybe she has another great idea!!! You guys are so close. You should celebrate together.. R must tell her parents though on any decision!!!
