How to get a 'professional' job at the WDW resort?

I graduated with honors recently with a degree in business management. I have over 8 years of supervisory experience, with 6 of them in retail management -- I worked and went to school full time. I currently have a good job with good pay, however, my dream is to work at WDW. I have been faithfully checking disneycareers.com for jobs but I have not been able to find any that are related to my field or experience level.

Considering the amount of retail locations at WDW I'm surprised there are not more job postings. I know I would be a good fit and top performer at WDW (very friendly, guest focused), but it is somewhat frustrating that I am not able to have a chance outside of internships. Anyone have any suggestions on how to obtain a full time career there? Thanks.

I would call WDW Casting directly and see what they can tell you. 407-828-1000 (Disney job line) or (407) 828-3088 (which is a more direct line I believe)

I would definitely call the numbers posted above. But as I have been told, Disney does mostly internal hiring. A CM told me that they post them on their own job board ( I dont work there so I dont exactly know) but if no one takes them there, they get posted on disneycareers.com. So you basically see whats left over. I would call, and the only other suggestion that I have is to just get an entry level job and then you can try and apply for those higher positions! Im graduating in December, and I think that is what Im going to do!

I have a BS and an MBA degree. But I am finding it very difficult to get a professional Disney recruiter to call you back.

I have retailing management experience with a major retailer as well as a degree in Business Administration/management and Marketing.

One of my professors was a Walt Disney Imagineering employee so I used her name as a reference. It didn't do any good.
