Could someone please point me towards any tips on how to use the new FP selector? What I am seeing is that I'm only able to select one at a time. I had assumed that was going to be an option and you could still easily select 3 at once if you chose to but that's not what I'm looking at.

And if I input an approx time for a 3rd FP after choosing others then it tells me I already have one for that time and do I want to deselect that and select the new one. I'm really not wanting to write out each FP once I select it and then try and piece together times that work for the other one. I have to be missing something because this is such a slow, multi step process.

And, to address your complaint, looks like it's another downside that has been created by an "improvement" in Disney software:

Most tricky part of this new version is that you’ll need to jot down the time you choose for your 1st and second FP+ or you’ll end up with an error message screen asking if you want to override your FP+. Remember that you cannot book another FP+ until the last time listed for the previous FP+. I just place the info into my touring plan in Character Locator, to make it super easy.

Thanks!

The bad thing is I was doing things the right way. It's so inefficient now if you want to make 3 FP's. :sad2:

Why they didn't they do something more along the lines of select up to 3, like the old system except not make you choose 3, and then the time drop down boxes. Hit confirm and poof - you're done!

I think Disney IT gets paid extra if they make things as confusing and inefficient as possible.

I agree. Also, with the old system it only brought up the people from your list that had tickets linked. Now you have to choose the people for your group. Definitely time consuming when you have 25-30 friends and family listed but only 8 have tickets. Every time I needed to make a change I had to select the 8 all over again.

It's a talent they require apparently! :rolleyes1

Yes!

Wow. I just read Kenny's post and that's way more complicated and time consuming than the old way!

We just made our selections on Sunday and I actually liked it better than the previous version, it was first time I didn't have to go back and adjust times. The do it individually because you no longer need to pick 3, but what I liked what you can click on more time or select what time you want and you can see them all. It was nice having my times picked out by myself and not them.

Although, we went through all our days beforehand, picked out our rides and picked out what times we wanted our fastpasses and finished our 10 days in about 10-15 minutes because I didn't have to sit and think.

Booked mine Monday (today) at midnight. Evidently this was the second day for the new system. Crashed repeatedly, very frustrating. Got everything I wanted, but had to be persistent.

Once you start, it's easy to pick up. If you select "details" under each experience, it shows all available times, not just three. I wrote down each fp confirmed to keep up with timed. hth

Also maybe less fp will be used since some will likely just choose one and be like alright got my one lol

Did mine last night too, didn't realize it was a brand new system. It didn't work till about 10 minutes in and then I got through quite a bit without crashing again. I really should have written things down as I went as it was hard to remember them and try not to overlap. Also wish I had realized sooner that you could click on details and see more than 3 times at once. But I (eventually) was able to modify the one that I wanted to get an earlier time for.

Also, for example, can I make a one tier FP+ and only one tier two FP+ at Epcot and at the same time make one FP+ at MK ?

I booked my fast passes today (midnight) The website continued to crash , it ultimately became easier to use the app. With that said it was still an enormous pain in the butt. It literally took me over an hour to book all of my Fast passes. I did notice on the app that it would give certain times for attractions and if you booked that attraction at the time that was provided to choose from and then went back in to the booking and picked to modify it, other times were listed that were not initially given to me. So it took a lot of time!!

Prebooked FPs must all be in the same park. See Requirements and Basics in my signature below.

For clarification, I did not see in your Requirements and Basics section that now you do not have to make the initial 3 FP+ in one park any longer; one can pre-make 1,2, or 3. That is why I asked my question. If you do not have to make three initially, can you make two at one park and the last one in another park. Thanks

From Post 2 (red emphasis added):
- Guests may preschedule up to 3 FPs per day. All 3 must be in the same park but for different attractions.

The above is specifically about prescheduled FPs. The new system appears to allow anyone with less than 3 FPs prescheduled to schedule the remaining ones in another park, but only after the prescheduled ones have been used. Your original question appears to ask about prescheduled FPs.

Do you know if I only want to pre-make two FP+ at one park, can I make a new FP+ on the fly after using (or cancelling) the original 2 FP+ I made ?

After using, yes that appears to be how it works. I am less clear on the cancelling method. Availability day-of since the new system was implemented appears to have taken a major hit, though that could be due to glitches as the new system is tweaked. Hopefully that improves soon.
