How to eat yourself sick in Disney, a step by step guide (UPDATE: 1/21 RAGLAN ROAD!)

Disboards, meet Kona.

She's currently the love of my life and biggest annoyance too.

:lmao:

She's freakin' adorable! I can see the Shepard in her (looks a lot like my dog when he was a pup) Is she keeping you up at all hours of the night? I swear to this day newborns were easier than a puppy!

Haha, thanks all.

Yes, she is annoying the crap out of us and keeping us up all night, but she's being JUST cute enough to stop us from strangling her.

And if you couldn't tell, she is named after something Disney related (I wanted something that reminded me of Disney, but wasn't overtly obvious.)

More reviews coming soon, I promise.

Love your reviews! Congrats on your wedding and you are so lucky to honeymoon in WDW. I didn't discover what a fabulous place it was until 2010, but we are celebrating our 10th anniversary there in March! That is an adorable puppy, too. I am not really a dog person, but OMG puppies are super cute.

Your review of O'hana is really making me want to try it. I started a pre-trip report (link in my signature; shameless plug I know, but I don't have any comments yet!) and just added a post saying I may just have to add O'hana.

Just like kids. Mine annoy the crap out of me, too, but they're cute, so we keep 'em around. :)

Kona is absolutely adorable!!

Congrats on your wedding and the new adoption! You, Christina and Kona make a gorgeous family!

I am loving your reviews, especially, so far, 'Ohana! I'm still laughing over 'Ohana!

Looking forward to more!

Very cute doggy.

Just curious, since your doing food from Disney thread, and your new puppy's name is Kona, can we expect any future pet names might be Ohana, or maybe Yak n' Yeti, or how about Liberty Tree Tavern?

Just a thought.

Congrats! Just went though and read all of the reviews so far tonight, really enjoyed them! Looking forward to reading more.....

Haha, Kona took enough convincing of the wife. :thumbsup2

Also, HOCKEY'S BACK! :yay:

Not too much to report today. Honestly, we had a huge breakfast, and then spent most of the day in bed before dinner.

For breakfast, we thought it would be a good idea to have Christina experience something she hadn’t up until this point. The wonder of a Waffle House breakfast.

Now, these places aren’t the prettiest. And they may not be the cleanest. But for the money, you can really get your eat on.

We weren’t really in the picture taking mood, unfortunately, and we devoured a ridiculous amount of food. I ordered a pecan waffle, scrambled eggs, a sausage biscuit, hash browns smothered and covered, and then promptly had a heart attack.

Christina ordered eggs and hash browns with toast and an order of sausage biscuits with gravy. Good lord they don’t skimp on the gravy.

Like I said, we rolled ourselves back to the hotel and spent most of the day sleeping. It was nice to take a break and do absolutely nothing.
We found the energy to wander off site again for some mexican food. We ended up going to Taqueria El Mexicano.

The food was pretty spot on authentic Mexican, and affordable. We partook in ridiculously expensive margaritas, which I wasn’t too happy about. Oh well, you only live once!

I ordered a steak taco, which was really, really good.

And some sort of burrito/enchilada combo, with a side of beans and rice, which was also delicious.

Christina ordered a taco platter, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

For dessert, we decided to try the Tres Leches cake, since neither of us had ever had this before.

Two words. HOLY. CRAP. This thing was sinfully decadent, and outrageously tasty. One of the best desserts of the entire trip, it was moist, soft, sickeningly sweet, and just perfect.

It took everything I had not to order us another.

We went back to the hotel room, had some wine, and hit the hay. It was a gloriously uneventful day, and we were well rested for the next day.

Coming up, some Boardwalk exploration, and a wonderful dinner at Raglan Road.

I've really enjoyed reading your reviews! I begged my husband for a WDW honeymoon but he wouldn't have any of it. We ended up in Europe instead (no complaints there!) but I think he was so moved by my sadness over not getting to WDW after the wedding that he said we should go for our one year anniversary! We actually ate at the California Grill on our actual anniversary and sat in the same spot you did :). We actually liked Artist Point more that trip but I still enjoy CG and look forward to the renovations.

I will also point your review out to my husband as an example that it is okay for men to be Disney food obsessed - he was a little hesitant to participate in our review at first because he felt like he would be the only testosterone on the front page :lmao:.
