Late to the party here! I saw you post on the Meet the Dissers thread and we will be there the same time as you. I am also from ATL area.

I'm in North Forsyth County/Cumming.

That's where I am.

Great job on the yardsale. I never do that good. We had one the first weekend in June and I made about $150. There is a consignment sale near my house this week/weekend. I took a load of stuff up there and am hoping to make about $150 from that.

Consignment sales are B I G around here. I need to jump on that bandwagon! Good luck!

Just found this! You have a beautiful family and I can't wait to read more.

Thanks! Welcome...stick around, I am really getting revved up now that we are only a month away. :cool1:

WOO HOO! :cool1: Go Fairy Godmother, Go! :cheer2:

Yeah, but now I want to sell more stuff. :lmao:

Hi there,

Just checking in to see whats going on!!!

Oh, and thanks for posting on mine!!!

Hi, I just stumbled on your PTR tonight. Seeing the pic of your hubby on the first page and seeing pictures of the farm bring back great memories from my childhood. We used to own horses, my brother was a horse trainer when I was little, and I used to show horses. It is wonderful that your children get to grow up around horses, they are fantastic animals.

I love your "tink" presents. It is so cute to have things to enhance the magic. Great job on the autograph books, the dining cards, the passports, and the t shirts!! It sounds like you have things planned so well.

Wonderful news about your yard sale!! It is always great to have more money for the Disney fund!!

Hi and welcome to my PTR!

Trust me. I do not take one day for granted. I know that we are very lucky to be raising our kiddos on our little slice of heaven. It isn't a huge show place, but it's our place and it has made a huge difference in how we operate as a family. (Sorry, it's early and I am mushy early in the morning. :rotfl: )

Hi all.

Hope you are all doing well! Things here are moving along well. The planning is pretty much finished for this trip. And so I guess we are moving into the "preparing to leave stage" now.

Family Update:
Today is my last day of summer vacation (how many of you are now singing Phinneus and Ferb song :rotfl2: ). I am so sad. The summer just flew by! I have 3 planning days until the kiddos return on Wednesday. So that means all my children need to be getting back on a schedule. (Yet, everytime I say that they all look at me as if I have grown a second head.)

I am looking forward to the school year, though. I am expecting a good class this year and my 4 yo boys are going to be going to Pre-K at the same school in which I teach. That will be interesting, eh? Also my DD has decided to transfer to the school that she is zoned for rather than the school that is closer to where I work. She will ride the bus home in the afternoon. Yikes. I am nervous for her, but glad she made this choice. It was hard having friends on the opposite side of town from where she lives and goes to church. Hopefully this will simplify her life.

Last weekend, we went to a huge "End of Summer Celebration" at one of our local shopping areas. It spanned about a mile and a half. They had concerts, rides, give aways, etc. We were there for about 5 hours...and my boys complained about walking too much. :scared1:

Yeah, well. Needless to say although I had not planned on taking our stroller to Disney, I have reconsidered. It makes sense to bring it since we are driving and won't cost us anything to drag it along. Besides I really want to have a whine free trip. And the stroller that we have is the exact model that FOUR stroller swaps are using on the budget board...so I guess it can be assumed that it is Disney Friendly. If we don't use it...no biggie. But if we need it, at least it won't cost us 40 bucks a day to rent one.

Okay...I gotta run. It's "tax free days" and I am taking DD12 shopping.

Check in later and I'll post some more pictures. I got some good pictures from last weekend at the celebration, a few of my classroom and I'm sure to get some today with my DD.

Until then...have a magical day!

I wasn't until you mentioned it! :rotfl:

I get that exact same look!

I'm actually looking forward to school starting again and getting back to a more normal schedule. I work from home so my daughter has been going to camp on and off depending on my schedule. She's been enjoying those days she can sleep in. It's going to be a struggle the first week of school for sure!

Good plan to bring the stroller with - at least you will have it if you decide you need it. Maybe you can get by at the beginning of the trip without it but may need it as the kids get more worn out.

Looking forward to more!

Good idea on taking the stroller. My daughter definitely used hers in Feb and she was almost 5 then. Although she never uses one at home anymore we'll probably take one when we go back in Dec.

Have a great school year! I can't believe it's time already. My DD starts Kindergarten on the 11th. I keep wondering how my baby is already old enough to go to school. She went to preschool last year at our church, but this is "real school"!

Hope your DD likes her new school. Good luck bargain hunting this weekend.

Molly

I just caught up on your PTR. We will be there the same days!! :goodvibes I am excited to hear how your trip goes as I would like to stay at POR for our 2009 trip. Yep, I am already planning it! ;)

You all are going to have a wonderful time! I love all the special things you have planned for everyone. :thumbsup2 It's just as fun planning things as it is for your family to get them. We have twin godchildren, B&G, who are 3. They are coming to Disney for the first time next month and I can't wait. :cool1: Since DH & I don't have kids, we will be doing lots of things that we usually don't do, i.e. character meals! Looking forward to hearing more.

Okay, we are back and we had a wonderful time.

First tip for all trip planners...plan your trip between hurricanes! The crowds were light and the weather was great! We didn't need our ponchos...just our 3-D glasses and our huge smiles! :thumbsup2

Seriously, it was wonderful.
