You dont have many good memories?

My mom is having a brain tumor removed in 2 weeks and Id like to make a little memory book for her but truthfully there isnt many good memories as we've never really gotten along-

I bought a cute 9 page book to do so there isnt *that* much room but I cant think of things to put in it-

I was thinking of a "things ive learned" page and a "best memories" page but what else?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks :) -em

I just wanted to wish your mother well for her upcoming surgery. My SIL had a brain tumor removed in January and for her it has been a very long road with recovery.

Wish I could think of something more for your book. All that comes to mind is being thankful you have your mother no matter what the past has been. Maybe something about where you lived.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Maybe part of the book would be things you could look forward to doing together once she is recovered?

Use whatever you have. And perhaps go lightly on the journaling in this instance.

If there are photos of holidays, family events, picnics, trips, even pictures of you and your siblings growing up include those. What about photos from when she was growing up? Dating? Her wedding? The memories may not be all good for you but it is hard to know what they might be for her...simply seeing these would likely brighten her day.

Thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust that all goes well.

I would probably not title most pages. I would put a favorite picture on the Title page and her full name. I would just stick to a very strict color scheme. This will give the pictures some continuity. Maybe the colors that are typical of a heritage album and nostalgic accessories. Add some interest by using torn edge paper, vellum, and textured papers.
Good luck, with everything.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope all goes well with her surgery.

Not knowing your background with your mom, these might be some good ideas

Momisms - things your mom said that were funny or that she said a lot.

Traditions - If you have pictures of thing you did that have become a tradition. Baking cookies at Christmas, etc..

Hope these help.
