How to contact Disney about prospective employee

It's serious enough to be concerned. It's not smoking weed. I have no idea how old the people in the photos are but they appear to be young teenagers. Thank you for posting this.
Did you report the pornography to Facebook? It's not allowed on there.

Edit: misunderstood AND came late to the party.

There are ABSOLUTELY laws against contacting employers with unsubstantiated information and you can be liable for loss of employment damages personally. Twitter posts would fall into unsubstantiated information. Not a single person (on what is a fairly conservative community) has thought it would be wise for you to contact Disney. I think that's a sign of just how bad your idea is
Please direct me to these laws. Remember they must specifically state that providing an employer with information posted by the individual in question themselves is illegal.

The problem you will get into is a defamation lawsuit. If the defendant can prove that the Twitter was not them or was hacked they could say your reporting them to Disney was defamation.

To clarify, the police have already been contacted. I wanted to contact Disney as well.

I am not aware of any laws that would penalize someone for reporting something they truly believed to be inappropriate, so no fear there. :thumbsup2

I typed "Disney today" into the search box, hoping to find the account that posts the daily updates. (It's @WDWToday)

A post of hers came up "GOT MY OUTFIT FOR MY FIRST DAY AT DISNEY TODAY" with an accompanying image that was... interesting.

So you typed something into a search engine, the results returned the post of a person you don't know, you've made an assumption about the ages of people in a photograph and you feel it's your duty to protect the public? Disney? from what you see as an inappropriate cast member and intend to take steps to insure this person does not in fact be allowed to perform as a cast member for Disney?

Have you made inquiries elsewhere online also? Have you considered the consequences for this stranger if you are wrong?

I realize you are convinced you are 1000% percent accurate in your assumptions.

For many reasons, it's still terribly unwise to contact an employer. If you are incorrect, the wronged individual can sue you. It starts with hiring an attorney, and beginning the discovery process with the employer. (That's the legal way they figure out who to sue...)

I am convinced Disney would have each and every tidbit of correspondence as well as recordings of phone calls on someone who opened a subject such as this. The name of the accuser would shake out in discovery quickly.

I've received a message with the information I need. Thank you, everyone, for your input. :)

Then this is all a moot point. You received the information you were looking for so this thread should be closed. You feel you need to further exploit this person so you should follow up on that. Others have given their opinions and its your right to take or ignore those. What happens after that is for you to deal with.

OP, if you don't think the police will do anything about the things you are referring to, then you should absolutely not be going to the employer. You claim that this person is doing illegal things, so call the police. They're the ones who deal with illegal activity, not Disney.

If you are incorrect about this person and contact their soon-to-be employer, it is considered slander. At least if you contact the police with your concerns and they look into it and deem it false, you were just being a worried citizen, not someone out to ruin another person's life.

Slander is spoken. If anything, it would be libel, and it isn't, as it's the person's own words rather than my own.

I appreciate that those who disagree really want to find a way to frighten me, but nothing is going to happen to me.

I agree that turning a blind eye in the name of 'mind your own business' is not ideal.

However, you say you have contacted the police. So, leave it there. You have done your part. If the police decide there is an issue, they will handle it. And I doubt Disney will be unaware if there are charges brought against an employee.

Slander and libel are still both the same thing.

Why won't you call the police? That's what makes me suspicious of YOU.

This very discussion would conceivably be uncovered in discovery -- revealing great insight into OP's mindset, decision making process and intent. If that ain't pennies from heaven showering down on a lawyer's head, I don't know what is.

For those who have never had any direct experience of what happens when an allegation of child pornography or illicit contact with minors is made to law enforcement, let me assure you it ranks rather high on their priority list and they don't exactly let grass grow under their feet.

For the record, after reading this entire thread, I don't care at all what happens to you. I'm worried that if you're wrong, (you admit yourself you don't know how old the people in the picture are) that you're going to ruin someone else's life.

In that case, I'm definitely in the clear. :)

In any event, I've said all I need to say on this topic, but I hope you all enjoy the pages of discussion that will surely follow this post. :rotfl:

Then leave it at that. If the person is indeed doing something illegal, I can promise you, this person will not be going to work at Disney because they'll be too busy dealing with the police.

If the police see no problem then it is NOT YOUR CONCERN because that means you're wrong.

Making a well-intentioned reasonably report to police about something that may or may not be legitimately concerning legally speaking, perfectly within the bounds of the law.

Making a report to what one believes is a prospective employer is on much more tenuous legal ground, whether or not the suspicion bears fruit. The legal tipping point is likely OP's intent, which is arguably to prevent the prospective employee from being gainfully employed by the prospective employer based on very speculative information and personal opinion.

I'm not understanding the jolly little emoticon if the circumstances are indeed serious enough for you to seek out contact information to make notification to this stranger's prospective employer?

The whole things is weird IMO. I don't get why there's such glee over the whole thing. Report it to the police, move on and trust that they'll investigate it and all will be handled. I don't get calling Disney at all. Preventing them from unknowingly hiring somebody that does illegal drugs(assuming a multi million company like Disney does not drug screen....LOL), watches questionable porn and has a fetish isn't going to make Disney any safer. It's only as safe as the people allowed inside. You can think all CM's are honest and upstanding citizens that don't break the law, would never watch porn of any kind and have missionary sex in the dark only with their spouse but the guy standing in line 6 inches from your kid can be a drugged up pedophile and have a braid and backpack fetish and you'll have no way to know or prevent that person from being around your kid.

Let the Police Officers be Police Officers and let Disney choose how to screen their employees.
