Ok, so I am sure this is covered somewhere in this forum but there is just so much information and I am a novice so I am hoping someone can help me out.
We are looking to book tickets for Disney world Florida for one day and Disneyland California for one day. We do not need accommodation at either site, just the entry tickets and maybe some sort of fast/priority entry to rides (fast pass/genie plus - not sure what it is called?).
We are travelling in a motor home so also would like to know if we can park this at the theme park for the day and what the cost would be for this
Could someone please advise what I actually need to ask for and where I go to get these tickets. We are coming from Australia and will be travelling in April.
Thank you

You can purchase your tickets directly from Disney without purchasing accommodations. (Now coming from Australia, I'm not sure if that throws a wrench into this - but I'm sure a travel agent there could assist you.)

Genie + and Individual Lighting Lanes passes can be purchased day of your visit. (I'm speaking about WDW, I haven't been to Disneyland is YEARS and don't know much about it over there.)
  • 12 a.m. (and after) — All guests with valid theme park admission and a park reservation can purchase Genie+
  • 7 a.m. — All guests with a valid Park Pass reservation to Epcot can join the Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
  • 7 a.m. — All guests can make Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections (don’t have to be inside park)
  • 7 a.m. — Onsite guests can book Individual Lightning Lane Selections (don’t have to be inside park)
  • Park opening — Offsite guests can book Individual Lightning Lane Selections (don’t have to be inside park)

According to Disney's website, you can park your camper in the parking lot while you visit the parks. Looks like $30 a day.

Theme Parks

Guests pay one fee for a parking pass that is good all day at all 4 theme parks—Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Our special preferred parking lots are located conveniently close to the theme park entrances. All parking fees include applicable sales tax.
  • Preferred parking: car or motorcycle – $45 to $50 per day*
  • Standard parking: car or motorcycle – $25 per day
  • Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer - $30 per day
Hope this gives you a little information.

For Disneyland (California), the webpage for Americans to buy tickets directly from Disney can be found here. It may be that you will be automatically redirected to an Australian webpage when you use that link. Look to see what language is given near the top of the screen; mine says "United States (English)." You can buy Genie+ in advance as part of your ticket. If you do not buy it in advance, you cannot buy it until after you have entered a park. Even if you buy it beforehand, you cannot make your first Genie+ reservation until after you have entered a park. You cannot buy an Individual Lightning Lane until after you have entered a park. When you can book a virtual queue varies. World of Color-One is at Noon, while Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is at 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. See this webpage. Motor homes can only be parked at the Toy Story parking lot ($35 per day), not at the parking garages. That parking lot is farther away from the parks than the garages, but there are shuttle buses to take you to the entrance of the esplanade.

The webpage for Walt Disney World (Florida) tickets can be found here. I believe the info provided above by WDW Traveler is accurate.
