How to arrange in-room birthday cake?

I'd like to arrange to have a birthday cake waiting in our room when we check in at Port Orleans French Quarter. Has anyone done this? Do I work with the WDW Florist or with some bakery somewhere on site? Could the POFQ bakery do this or are they not set up for such requests? Thanks for any info you care to share!

I am also interested because we'll be there in March for my boyfriends 50th birthday and I'm planning on getting a birthday button from whichever park we go into that day. Any other idea's / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had this same question (anniversary cake) and I was told to call the resort directly. I think whoever answers the main line can put you in touch with the right people.

While we were staying at WL in March it was my wedding and also my birthday.. We called the front desk and asked about having a birthday cake.. I can't remember if she took care of the request or if she transferred the call, but room service brought up two small (but very rich) cakes with candles, plates, forks, napkins etc... While not beautiful birthday cakes, as they were chocolate cakes with "Happy Birthday Jon" wriiten on them with frosting, they were very good.. I can't remember the cost, but I do remember thinking that the cost wasn't as much as I thought it would be..

If anyone is staying at the Wilderness Lodge, I would suggest having the birthday party on the fourth floor terrace overlooking the pool..

Call Goodings Bakery at 407 -827-1200. There is a $10 fee for delivery. Cake price varies - very reasonable. Homemade, buttercream frosting - delicious cakes. I had one delivered in to All Star Sports. We had to go to front desk for pick-up.

We had a cake in our room when we checked in to the Poly. I mentioned that we would be celebrating our sons Bday while we were there. I had called CRO and they noted it on my ressie I guess because I didn't mention it again.

If you want to have a lot of input and control over what kind of cake it is,how it's decorated, or special touches included you could contact this lady: Creative Kitchens
She could do all sorts of other culinary needs as well (dessert tray, fruit and cheese tray or beverages to go w/the cake - provide serving supplies, etc...) .
I'm sure the resorts can provide them as well
