How the closing works?

Ok so tomorrow is the DAY!! I am officially closing on my AKV 160 point contract at the Doorway to Dreams in Wood Field mall. I was just wondering if anybody could tell me how this is all going to work? What is going to happen, what do I need to do? What am I going to get? I just want to know everything I can!! I have looked on the site, but there is not too much info about closing at the stores! Also am I going to get anything? (books, paperwork, lists-points info) I just am so excited I don't know how I am going to sleep! TIA

You should contact your Guide, it's their job to answer all of your questions about your purchase.

I tried...he seems to have lost interest in us...maybe because I had to reschedule my closing? IDK but when we went the first time he didn't give us any paperwork, or anything to read. I just feel like he doesn't care about us...so yeah...and I am working all day then going to the closing...and he is not there today...I guess I'm jut worried..

I understand but you need to get a new Guide. Please call (800) 800-9100 and ask to speak to a Manager. Explain your situation and request a new Guide who will service your needs.

First of all, congratulations Very happy for you.
We did all of our sale and transaction via telephone. But, when we closed we received a pkg with all the documents ( Purchase agreement, deed, option for taking title etc. )to sign. IN person, when you do this I imagine is easier since someone is right there to explain each. I had to really read through everything. You will receive a book-- Vacation Planner--with pt charts and details of DVC and pics of each resort etc. Temporary member cards, code to sign up for the member website. Access to the points was super quick (I think only a few days for me) A canvas tote with the DVC logo was also given. We received a cardboard DVC box to store papers in with dividers. Copies of all documents are given to store in this box.

So the closing went great!!! I loved the person who I closed with everything went smoothly...and I had a great time closing. Today however was a different story...I did get my second choice with my hotel but I was kind of upset that I didn't get my first choice...and then the day just got worse...but that's another topic...lol Thanks all!!

Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome home! Don't be too discouraged if you don't get your first choice...if you have several months before your vacation, try to waitlist your first choice. It can't hurt - LOL!

Yeah...I could get on a wait list...I forgot you could do that...I am however going to sneak a trip in May to BLT so that might be ok...I am taking my sisters and my mom as a surprise! (don't tell them that!!)- lol They have not been down in a long time so its all going to work out...so far I have 4 trips planned for next year! I am so happy we did this, from where I am standing this is the best investment we ever made!!!
