We are planning on staying at Fort with our new trailer during August 2008. My DB and his family will be at POP (hopefully with free dining) at the same time. None of us have a definate date yet, but DH is wondering if Fort fills up quickly and how soon we should make ressies.
We usually book a good 12-16 months ahead although the last two trips we booked only a few months ahead with the free dining package.
Any thoughts? We are not looking for any specific sites as this will be our first time camping at the World.
Thanks for any advice. Nancy

You are allowed to book up to 500 days of your checkout day.

However, unless you are going during a holiday period, 9-10 months out is sufficient.

I know this isn't recommended, but due to the fort filling up so quickly, have you considered booking the whole month and then just cancelling the days you don't want when you decide on the actual days? You have to put a deposit down of 1 night whether you stay 2 days or 30.. so it is not like you would be out any money. Good luck

Thanks for the advice! I had not thought about over-booking. We are undecided about going in Aug or June. It will depend on free dining availability for the other family travelling with us. So I think we will book for both months and then cancel whichever we won't use after free dining is announced next May.

This year (2007) is the first year that we will NOT be going to WDW since 2002! Our financial situation will not allow a trip this year. :sad1: DH is going through withdrawels, so planning for next year's trip now is keeping him occupied. :rotfl:
