How soon for renting in "07

Hi everyone, I am palnning a trip in March or April of 2007, I am looking into renting points for the trip. I would like Boardwalk (studio), or Beach Club or OKW. At this pont I am still in the palnning stage and just curious as to when I should start looking to rent. Is anyone open to a payment plan or does it have to be paid in full at time of reservation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello pam daniels, J.D. here. I'v rented points plenty of times and have had many good experiences with the rentors. First of all, if you rent points at someones "HOME" resort you can make reservations 11 months out. At a resort that is'nt their "HOME" resort you can book up to 7 months in advance. Secondlyish, I usually pay half after the host has told you they made reservations. Then I pay the second half after I've received the hardcopy of the reservations from the DVC and before the 30 day cancellation point of the host. Thank you visiting the world of Walt!!! Enjoy!!! If you are looking at Spring Break/Easter time, you probably want the 11 month advantage, especially if you want BCV. You will need to narrow down your request by date, length of stay, type of accomodation, which resort. A member with the resort you choose as their home resort can make reservation 11 months out from the date you check out.

The member will set the rules for when payment is due and whether they will accept Paypal or only cash.

Narrow down your choices and post your request on the Rent/trade board.
