How soon are schedules available on the app?

I feel like I should start every thread with "Me again with another stupid question!" We're 205 days out. I promise I'll shut up eventually.

(For those of you who are new to my dumb questions, planning a DCL wedding, except I've never been on a cruise, and neither have half our guests.)

I know there are paper navigators and then they list everything on the app. Can you see the list of events and things that are happening in advance on the app? Even a couple days before? I know with Disney all things are subject to change and yada yada, but I'm hoping if I can get it a day or two ahead of time I can make a list of the things I know that we (the wedding couple) want to do so I can share it with everyone in case they want to join us.

The app only works in its full capacity, i.e. with daily schedules and chat features and view my account features, when you are on board. So no, not a day or two ahead at all. That being said, you can add everyone to a chat group when you are on (perhaps make sure people know how to obtain their own chat # so they can share it using regular text while you're still in port) which might be the best way of letting people know what is going on with you guys.

No, the Navigator app isn't live until you are onboard. Or, at least, in the terminal to get onboard.

for anyone who isn’t as app savvy you could also Have a magnetic white board on your door (maybe even provide one to your guests) for leaving messages, or saying “I’m at breakfast at Cabanas”... just a thought.

We did this. I listed DH, me and DS said if we were sleeping or eating or where we were. Tried to keep it pretty up-to-date... other people in our group also wrote messages to us on it too.

Once on board you can view activities for the duration of your trip, menus for the restaurants, arrival and departure times for port. You can also mark items that are of interest in the app and the app reminds you before hand. However I found that I would mark things then forget and by the time I got a reminder of an activity I was usually on the other side of the ship or doing something else. I'm all for technology, but I personally find the paper navigators easier to read because you can see all activities during that time frame without having to scroll back and forth looking at individual activities. But the app also showed thing that weren't on the navigators so I would mark up the paper, then review the app for anything that wasn't listed.

First day when we met our room steward we requested paper navigators be delivered to our room the night before so we could mark them and carry them with us.
