How small ARE the rooms at POR?

We are a family of four planning on staying at POR. Then DH realized that the rooms seem really small-maybe too small for the 4 of us, one who is an 8 month old baby with an early bed time. I plan to get her to bed early, and DH can stay at the parks with the 10 year old. Are we going to find it crowded/ noisy when they come back from the parks and get ready for bed? Debating if we should instead stay at a value resort and book 2 rooms (nearly the same price as staying one room at POR). Advice? Of course a villa would be ideal but just way beyond our budget!

I'm only speaking from my own experience...but, it's a hotel room, obviously there are going to be some noise disruptions from having everyone in the same room. That being said, my family of four has stayed in a single value room, and we were fine with the space (girls were 3 and 5 at the time). Last year we stayed at CBR, which has "bigger" rooms, but to us not earth-shatteringly "bigger". The room sizes seem fine to us. But then again, we are also a family that crowds ourselves onto 2 cushions of our giant sectional couch on top of one another...we're pretty close. :crowded:

POR is the only mod I have not stayed at, but I often hear that families of five choose it specifically - so I think you can definitely do 4, esp. if one is a baby.

Are you willing to take a risk that your rooms aren't connecting? Disney does its best to meet this request, but sometimes it just doesn't happen.

We stayed as a family of 5 this past November and had plenty of room. The room had been upgraded to 2 queen sized beds and had the murphy (which you won't need). If you do book here, try asking for a corner room. There is an extra window and it seems to make the room "feel" a little larger. I think it's just fine for a family of 4.

We've stayed at POR with an infant and older kids and simply moved the pack & play to the closet/sink area outside the bathroom and pulled the privacy curtain shut which allowed the baby to fall asleep and the rest of us to continue on as usual. We had plenty of room!

EDITED TO ADD: Our son is a very SOUND sleeper, so we didn't have any problems, but if you have a light sleeper two rooms may be a better option.
