How safe is it to leave TV/VCR combo in room?

We are staying at the Pop Century. I will be bringing about portable TV/VCR combo with us on the drive. It will keeps the kids quiet. What to do with TV once I'm at the hotel. I'm not sure. Do I leave it in the room while we are out? Do I put in the car during the Day while at the parks? Need help for others you have had this type of problem.

My husband says leave it in the room. I'm not sure.

We left ours in the room and never had a problem.
i had it on the floor next to the armoire and had beach towels on it.

I'd say leave it in the room. You can always hide it in the closet.

I always put our clothes in the drawers and then put the camcorder, extra cameras, video games, ect... in the locked suitcase. I put the suitcase in the bottom of the closet. We have never had a problem.

Thanks for the replies. This may sound like a silly question but do they have a closet in the hotel. Most hotels I have stayed at do not. I guess I could put the luggage around it and towels like someone said.

We left the tv/vcr combo in the room at ASSp and at OKW & didn't have a problem. I would think that would be safer than leaving it in the car! I can't remember if there was a closet in the ASSp, but there was at OKW.

so I'd not expect them at PC either, but....

The drawers in the dresser/tv stand are quite deep. I'd expect the tv/vcr combo would fit on its side. Even if it doesn't, I would not hesitate to leave it sitting by the nightstand, under the luggage rack, next to the table...

It sounds like your concern is with housekeeping. We've stayed in the value, moderate and deluxe resorts. I have NEVER had any concerns or reason to suspect them of anything other than cleaning our room. We bring lots of camera equipment. I put it in the drawers or luggage. If you have some softsided luggage that could accomodate the tv, it would be fine there, too.

Make sure your room door closes behind you and have a great time.

We have taken our TV/VCR combo to WDW many times. We have a large duffel bag that we store it in when it is not in use. We leave the TV in the bag and keep the bag in the room. We have never had a problem.

We just got back, and we left ours on the table or on top of the tv/dresser stand without any problems.

Weve left ours in our room the past 3 years and never had a problem.
