How rude are you?

I really wish I could be rude sometimes  like when someone comes over uninvited and stays for hours  I just can't....it's not me. I am extremely sensitive to people's feelings

I got 8 out of 10 because I would actually talk to the person in the doctor's office or at least pretend I was listening.

And with the pregnant owman on the bus, I would wait to see if a gentleman offered a seat first. If not, then I would. :guilty:

I'm a 7/10 Manners Maven also! I read and respond to e-mails when I'm on the phone, I would move away from a chatty Cathy in the doctor's office and I would shove $15 in an envelope for a last minute birthday party.

BUT... I never run a stroller into peoples ankles or line hop at WDW!!! :lmao: THAT'S why I am a Manners Maven!!!

You got 9 out of 10 correct!

You're skilled at coping with people without resorting to mean or rude tactics. Everyone should be as courteous as you! We keep hearing about the death of civility -- but it's alive and well in a place you'd least expect.

I only got 9 out of 10 because of a "shopping" question. The whole party question was not fair. I wouldn't run out and buy a kid any old present -- how rude. I would have gotten the child a gift card, but there was no gift card option. I gave the kid $15. I didn't have time!!! I want a do over. Do I get a do over? No, I'd probably answer the same way. Don't wait until the last minute with the invitation next time. :confused3

I didn't like this question. I think it assumed you were fully able to stand on a bus, and therefore able to offer up your seat to the pregnant woman. However, that's not always true for some people.

Exactly. If no one else offers, and I'm the "healthiest" I'll give up my seat. But quite frankly, I wouldn't expect someone elderly to give it up for a twenty year old who is only 6 months along.

And I also have no problem with slipping cash into a card if my children get a last minute invite.

And I'm not sure that nodding and saying "umm hmm" is not the same as staring off into space. (Which is what I would do in the doctor's office)

I could have gotten 10 out of 10, but I answered truthfully. I wouldn't tell the guy his fly was open, I wouldn't ask my husband nicely if he would turn the channel back. I wouldn't tell Chatty Cathy that I don't want to talk and I would look around to see if anyone would offer their seat on the bus before offering it myself.

Me too. It was obvious what the preferred answer was. Plus, in a few, no answer seemed correct for me. I was 5 out of 10.

Socially So-So
Most of the time you can be counted on to be courteous, but you do have moments of weakness when you slip into rude behavior. The next time that happens, take a deep breath and think about how you'd want to be treated. We keep hearing about the death of civility -- but it's alive and well in a place you'd least expect. Find out where.

I'm a Manners Maven :thumbsup2

I answered honestly- 7 out of 10. I think just about everyone can answer 10 out of 10 correctly.... you know what you're supposed to do. The true test is actually doing it.

You got 3 out of 10 correct!

I would shove money in a card for a last minute party. I would also not tell someone to stop talking to me. I would listen forever.
