How quickly does the 7 dwarves ride get backed up?

Since we can only book FP+ at 30 days out, I was thinking of being at MK at rope drop and making our way to this ride first thing. I know that a lot of people head for A&E but I'm assuming that the mine train gets slammed upon opening too. Anyone here that has done this?

At Rope Drop it will get backed up quickly. It did when I was there a couple weeks ago and it was at 50 minutes within 30 minutes of park opening. You might have better luck with Extra Magic Hours. But I was able to grab FP for it at around 2-3 weeks out and change it a couple times when things came up in my schedule.

Thanks for that calendar. I was thinking of devoting our FP+ to two of the mountains and Peter Pan but it's a hard decision. I don't think that we can work backward though. From my understanding we have to book each day one at a time when each reaches 30 days. Ugh.

50 minute wait 30 minutes after park opening.... That is exactly what I needed to know. We are going during Spring Break and I had a feeling that this might be the case.

I don't think that offsite has the option of booking past 30 days though, so booking later in the trip first is not an option. It's not like onsite when you get 60+ for your trip.

In late July, we tried for 7DMT just after RD. The posted wait was bad, >45 minutes. So we went after Wishes. Posted was 60 min, but it was actually about 30.

Yeah I would suggest trying rope drop, and if not, making sure you go there on a day with EMH, that's what I'm planning on doing to be able to ride it again!

If they are staying off site, they won't have access to EMH so better to avoid those days.
