With two littuns and it being the first time going as the one in charge?

I did have two seperate days planned for each one, but I'm trying to cut back a little with the spending and two taxi fares doesn't seeem necessary.

I've figured out which rides we want, and can, go on.

In US, Jimmy Neutron, Woody Woodpecker, Simpsons, Terminator (could give that a miss), animal actors, et, barney, curious George, eivels playground, jaws, disaster, mummy, twister, shrek 4-d and horror make up show.

In IOA, Jurassic park river adventure and the jurassic discovery, cat in the hat, caro-seuss-el, 1 fish 2 fish, if I rana zoo, sindbad, poseidons fury, popeye and bluto, meship me olive, spiderman, trolly train ride, and pterandon flyers.

That sounds too much to do in one day but I'm not sure. We'll get there eary and leave late, having a meal and rest in one of the parks (had two planned for two days so have to choose one if I do them in one day).

This will cut down on an extra taxi fare and meal, and give us an extra day!

Is it possible or am I better off sticking to the two days?

we do it in one day but we dont have kids

having said that looking at the attractions you wantt o see we do all of them except the flyers as we dont have the kids, i would love to do them though!!

We get there just before opening so we are ready to go! we do studios in the ,morning and then islands in the afternoon

I've done IOA & US in one day when the park has quiet and shut at 1800 but i've not fitted in everything you want to.

Personally with the children,I'd stick to two days.
It's soo tiring for us nevermind the kids and you'd find yourself rushing around trying to fit it all in,But that's me :thumbsup2

We usually do both parks in one day but don't have kids.

Looking at your list I think it could be done but will probably depend a lot on how busy the parks are....what dates are you going?

The way I would look at it is if you need to save some money in your budget then definately cut it down to one day & what you don't get done will have to be done on your next trip. ;)

If that isn't an issue then leave it as two days & if you manage to fit it all in one day then thats a bonus, you gain a day & save taxi money. :cool1:

I'd do two days. As a first timer with kids you'll never do everything you want to in one and it is spread over quite an area so there's a lot of walking. We don't do any of the big coasters or thrill rides in IOA and could still easily fill a day with repeats on some of them. With Popeye for instance it's never the same ride twice and you'll kick yourself if youwant to go on again and haven't got time.

Could be done but it depends if you want to just get them done military style or enjoy the parks holiday style.
We spend around 4 hours just in Curious George water area and do that a few times each holiday but we have AP's so come and go a lot to Universal.

I think I might put 2 days in my plan but try to do it all in one day. If I can, then I have a free day and save money, if not then I still have another day to finish it lol.

We're going in October so it shouldn't be too hot or busy, but we are probably going to go at a slow pace.

Go on... Rub it in!!!

You know they wont let me in there!

:rotfl2: That is so funny, I am literally laughing to myself here.:rotfl2:

I wonder if your photo has been distributed to all staff, Keep this guest out!!.

Just watch them kick me out in August now.

Glad we wasn't the only one's it's such a great play area for the kids.
DD's absoutely loved it,so we would definately make more time for this alone.

Gem do it all in your own pace, like you've said if you manage it all in one day then brilliant if not go back again,OR if not it's always a good enough reason to re-book and do it then :thumbsup2

We took 2 days to do everything. It's difficult to fit everything in and enjoy it if you are rushing to the next thing just to fit it all in. :)

I've been looking on google earth and youtube and can't understand how you can do it all in even two days, it's huge! lol The whole place, all the parks. I don't know how we'll do it the next time we go when the kids are big enough for the bigger rides as well! lol

Hi there ,you might have to pick your days carefully, last oct we went to universal and it was really quiet, got on everything lots of times no bother at all, strolled leisurely around the park, it was fantastic, went again the next day (as my dh and elder son hadnt been the previous day as they went to Busch instead) and it was mobbed , queued for ages for lots of rides and we had less time too because of halloween horror nights, didnt get on much without an hours wait, we were at florida 5th oct for 2 weeks. might be better if you are there late in october.

Gem,personally i think you would need more than the one day.But you know you're kids+what they can+can't manage.Your children are still very young+you would'nt believe how much toll it can take on little ones.
As you say just try+see what you can do in one day,and if need be admit defeat+leave it till later in your holiday, once you know what funds you have left to see if you can fit another day in.
We took Dd7 when she was 3,and that kid could walk the marathon without stopping, but all the walking knocked her for 6,she was shattered+there was no way she could handle going from park opening to park closing(and we even had a stroller for her).x.

Sorry Graeme, but i too was wetting myself laughing with your answer(i remember your conversation about this on another thread).x.

In addition to what the other posters have said one thing to perhaps bear in mind is that Spiderman at IOA and Shrek/Jimmy Neutron at US are extremely popular and being close to the entrance you could find many head for them first.

If you can get these 3 rides done early, then you stand a decent chance of fitting the other attractions in. To be honest if you can get on these 3 then the others should be fairly manageable.
However, I do agree 2 days is best, despite the fact they are walking distance apart personally I would plan 1 day for each, and head for the above rides first at each respective park.
They can all be very busy even at quieter times of the year.
