I bought in when I was 27 years old and my daughter was 6 at the time. To me life is about making memories. I don't have a ton of debt, only things I consider "necessary" debt (house, car, student loans), and no huge credit card balances. I paid off the first contract recently and then did an add-on at AKV and find that I have more than enough points. It was well worth the purchase, we have used it in Florida as well as at Disneyland in California and may be using our membership at Paris Disneyland in the future. The way I look at it, with one 50 year contract and another that's 42 years I will be able to enjoy my membership during the prime of my life and take full advantage, as well as provide a place to stay when my daughter is older and has children that will want to go see Mickey. I'm glad I bought fairly young, you never know what life will send your way, live it while you can!
