How old for Star Tours?

I my husband has never been on it and I have not been on since I was 18. Is my 4 year old to young?

It's not a bad ride, but depends on the 4yo.

:cheer2:

My 4 yr old ds liked it but was concerned that we were actually going to be lost in space. Once he understood we weren't he enjoyed it and wants to ride it again.

I took my 4 & 5 year old granddaughters on it last year, they loved it. I explained to them before we got on it that we were not really going to move and it was just a simulator.

IN DLP there is no heigh restriction.... they just have to be over 3. But I believe there is a restriction due to height in WDW. My dd was 3 when she first went on it and she adores simulator rides.

My DD was 4 and went on it 8 times. Especially if they have seen the movie and are not afraid of slightly rough rides, they should be fine. Motionwise it is IMHO not much worse than Barnstormer, though as an actual motion simulator it does make some people feel a little ill if they are prone to motion sickness.

Depends on the child...but it's not very scary, but I know I didn't go on at 5 (my first trip)..but you know your child

He/she should be fine! When I was there last, a 5ish (?) year old boy went on and was pretty hesitant about it. When the CM noticed he told him that if he tried it and liked it, he could stay on for another ride. Maybe you'll get that same guy and he'll love it!

If your 4yo likes roller coasters (big thunder mountain) that he/she should be fine. My son doesn't like rough rides, so we're skipping it (he's 4). I don't think he'd be scared of the movie part, but he wouldn't like being tossed around in his seat.

When is Star Tours? We are coming the 3rd week of June next year?

Mr. Mike

You're thinking Star Wars Weekends. Star Tours is a ride and is there and open year round in MGM.

None of our children were tall enough by age 4 to make it onto the ride! :confused3 Of course, we are a vertically challenged family. :rotfl2: Remember good things come in small packages! :goodvibes
