How often do you wash your bath mat?

In college, the mat got washed maybe once the entire time. I try to wash it once a week now. What about you?

At least twice a week, sometimes more depending on the foot traffic going on in my house.

I've got four of them. They get changed daily.

We've got a couple of throw rugs in there. They get washed maybe every 6-8 weeks or so. They never seem all that dirty.

Unfortunately, around once a week. When Petey was potty training, I kept him in the bathroom with a baby gate when I had to be gone for long periods. That way, he'd have access to his food and water and if he really had to go it wouldn't hurt anything. Now, when I'm gone awhile and he can't hold it anymore (he's just a teeny little thing) he goes in the bathroom and pees on the toilet. Guess what's directly in front of the toilet? It's either a holdover from his puppyhood or maybe he thinks because he sees me pee on it that he can too Never pees anywhere else in the house, just on the base of the toilet.

Once a week with the towels and rugs -- when the bathroom gets cleaned.

I use a bath mat that is like towel material so it can get tossed right down to the laundry with the towel as soon as you are done showering....so basically it gets washed after each use...

The one if front of the shower-once a week. Its more of a towel material and throw it in every time I wash towels.

The one if front of the tub-maybe one a month. Its huge and heavy and I cant see a need to wash it more than that. Only my son uses it every other night getting out of the tub.

If front of the toilet-yeah right...I have a husband and a son, there is no rug in front of the toilet!

I am in the once a month club. Geesh, I didn't think they got very dirty. The one outside the shower is thick like shag carpet and so is the one in front of our toilet. They do get vacuumed every week, though.

LOL...I get SO grossed out when people have that germ rag on the floor in front of their toilets! I had a friend that had carpeting in the whole bathroom...boy was that totally disgusting....can you imagin what was growing in that thing???

My bath mats are like regular towel material too, but are about half the size of a big bath towel. I have tons of them. I was at an auction one time where they were auctioning off damaged freight stuff. The bath mats were labeled at $26 a piece from JcPenney and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the mats, it was only that the box got damaged. I bought around 20 of them for $2.00 a piece.

We too change them with each shower and after about 4 years of use, every one is still in perfect condition.

I do not buy anything that has that rubber back. I just don't think it's very sanitary.

Um I don't think I have ever cleaned mine. I thought vaccuming it was enough!

Probably once every two weeks....but it is just me....and after stepping out of the shower, I feel like I am not getting any contamination on the rug....or so I hope...
