We are early risers all the time. We usually hit rope drop every morning.

Instead of calling it 'rope drop' though, we just call it, 'going to the park'.

Never I'm sleeping inn most of the time from Extra Magic Night and I don't get up till 9am not unless I have a breakfast with mickey and the gang

Do you stay onsite? If so, why can't you leave early and let him catch up to you when he's ready? We will probably do this a couple times in our next trip because DD and I like to get up and get going but DS and DH like to sleep in.

I do and I don't do that because left to his own devices he wouldn't get up and going till noon and then he'd be mad because he missed seeing DGD enjoy stuff. We found a happy medium in that we get out about rope drop time so he gets to sleep someone in and he doesn't miss anything. And we never go at a time when they open before 9:00. In all honestly, DGD isn't much easier to get up and out early but I have hope that she'll be better once she's in school. For now she sleeps till noon most days herself, when she can.

The only time we didn't hit RD was the day after MVMCP . We planned it that way and planned to go to EPCOT at about 11:30 the next day.
We all needed a little extra sleep that day...well the rest of my family did. I was still up at 7. :rotfl:

10 day trip coming up- Planning to do a RD at least once at each park.

You mean you can get to the park AFTER rope drop???? :confused3 lol And more often than not we close the park down too!!

But I have to say that we only hit the parks 3 or 4 days in a 7 day trip.

Almost always hit RD and EMH when possible. We like getting in several attractions in a short period of time plus a FP for later on. We then enjoy having breakfast in the parks after knocking out several attractions. This allows us to take our time the rest of the day or go back to resort for a mid-day nap or hang by the pool.

Almost every day. Not necessarily for AK- that is generally our take it easy morning.

DH wakes naturally about 5 am every day at home, and DD11 rarely sleeps much past 7. DD14 and I are capable of sleeping in, but are onboard with rope drop. Often we are there WELL before rope drop and at the front of the line! It's what we do.

Nearly every day because we have scheduled sleep-in days, otherwise it would be everyday. On those days we usually go to DTD or resort hopping.

I voted for never and not planing to; however, if I have a first timer I would do so one day at DHS to ride TSMM. Additionally, if I go with a small child, I would also do so one day at MK for Enchanted Tales with Belle. For now, if it is just my GF and I (which is the norm), we skip those rides so no need to get up early.

The only aspect of FP+ I am looking forward to is that I may no longer have to get to rope drop for these two rides if they are on that trip's must do list.

On a 2 to 3 week trip we hit rope drop every morning.
Our trips are normally in the summer and we don't do lines of more than 30 minutes so this approach suits all in our party.

We do take afternoon breaks back to the pool or a bit of mall/outlet shopping :goodvibes

I could count on one hand the number of times I've been to rope drop, and that's over almost half a dozen trips. Our last trip we did see rope drop at DHS, but that was only because we had an early breakfast ADR in the park. We also did rope drop at AK because the park was only open until 5 and we had an early dinner ADR elsewhere. I will say we usually don't get there long after- it's not like we're showing up a couple hours after opening. We probably miss it by about a half hour or so.

We usually make RD every morning. The only exception is sometime AK. We attempt to be at RD for AK, but not the same way that we "attempt" to be at RD for the other parks. AK we just try to be there a couple mins. before the park opens, but the others (especially now with the new opening procedures at DHS and Epcot) we plan to be there about 30 mins. prior to park opening. AK is our least favorite park, so it's just not as big of a deal to us, and we never spend the whole day there anyways.

Every day of the trip. Isnt a problem at all for me since my schedule at work can be til 10 and I'll be back by 630. As long as I can get my midday nap in I'll be great!

We usually make it for RD every morning but for some reason never have made it for EPCOT.

We attempt Rope Drop nearly every morning of our trip.

We try to get to the MK early enough for the opening show & try to get to DHS at least 15-30 minutes before the park opens. At EPCOT & AK, we normally arrive around 9:00 am & are going through the turnstiles usually at 9:00ish. (At AK, it's sometimes later.)

The day we are going to the World Showcase is our sleep-in day, so we don't arrive to EPCOT on that day until sometime around 11:00 am.

Last year, on our first DHS day, we just couldn't get moving & didn't get inside the park until around 9:30 am - OMG!! We were lucky to get fastpasses for Toy Story Mania! On our 2nd DHS day, we arrived around 8:30 am. What a difference! We were able to ride Toy Story once, stand-by, & then also get fastpasses for later.
