How often do you hop?

How often per trip AND how often per day do you park hop? We've only had hoppers twice and both times only hopped one day per trip. We stayed at AKL and at CSR those trips so neither were very conducive to park hopping. This time we are staying at YC with 3 day hoppers and also going to MNSSHP on the 4th day. The one day we plan to hit Epcot at opening and stay through lunch, walk back to hotel and then head to AK since the park is open until 8 that night. After that MK has EMH until 2 am so I'm thinking of that as well. Sounds like a full, exhausting day! I'm just wondering since we're within walking distance to Epcot if this will help?

We hop almost every day. Unless we do a full day at Epcot, we'll usually hit another park to get a snack or ride one or two specific rides, or just see if any lines are short.

We go at a time of year (Jan/Feb) when the parks close rather early. AK closes at 5, HS closes at 7. After those close, we'll hop over to MK for Wishes, or Epcot's World Showcase. DD also loves to go into MK on our way back (we use MK as a transportation hub, since we can just catch a boat back to our hotel - WL - from there) just to get a popcorn - she always wants a popcorn from Main Street or the hub. Sometimes we linger and window shop, or hop on a ride or two. Sometimes DD is tired and asks to eat her popcorn on the boat back... it's all fine with us - we're on vacation and we're enjoying our time together!

We hop parks often. My kids never want to spend more than 1/2-day at Epcot, DHS or AK. We usually hit those on a morning and hop to MK for the late afternoon/evening. My DH has already said he wants to visit the pool after our DHS morning for the rest of the day, so the two 7yos and I may hop to Epcot FW and then hop to MK for evening. We don't buy a lot of souvenirs, etc. so if Disney transportation is moving slow and would make hopping difficult, we're willing to pay taxis to get there quicker.

We always stay at either Fort Wilderness or Shades of Green. We always get hoppers. We are not early morning people, so we typically roll in to a park somewhere between 10 and 11 AM. We usually head back to the resort somewhere between 1 and 3 PM. Depends on what time of year, if it's summer we got back on the early end of that, if it's Christmas, maybe the later end. Then we head back to a park usually between 4 and 6 PM. This is often a different park from the morning. We often stay til closing. If it is an earlier closing, we may leave that park and head over to a park open later, usually MK, and stay there til closing.

One time, I've only managed it once, we saw fireworks in Epcot and MK on the same night. That was AWESOME! It really takes all the starts lining up to manage it though.

We hop every day once a day. We go back to the hotel for mid-day naps, and we figure we might as well go back to a different park afterwards.

We hop every single day. It's not a big deal, we only have 2 adults and no kiddos

We hop everyday no matter what hotel we stay at (we'll be staying at YC next trip too!) or whether I have my 3 kids with me or if it's just adults-only. We will sometimes go back to the hotel between or just take park to park transportation.

It's pretty easy to do a MK/Epcot or a HS/Epcot hop without going back to a hotel.

We do one park at rope drop or EMH so we get a lot done. Then we are usually ready for a new park.

We hop at least once a day each day of our trip that we have tickets for. We have no little ones though.

We hop everyday of the trip. We stay at the Epcot resorts every trip and love the convenience of being able to hop parks from there. We usually go to a park in the morning, pool for the afternoon, and then a nice TS meal in Epcot at night. We then decide where to go from there. For us hopping is just a part of the trip.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention it will be just DH, myself and DD11 who is a night owl so as long as we can deal with the heat I see no reason we can't tackle 3 parks in one day.

Since you are staying within walking distance to EPCOT, you can hop back in at night to catch the fireworks. We are a family of 4, like staying by EPCOT and prefer hoppers so we can hop around.

We usually hop daily. Typically do one park in the morning & eat at Epcot at night. Or we do DHS in the morning, take a break at the hotel and do EPCOT or MK in the evening.

We hop almost every day of the trip. We like to start at a low-crowd park and either hop to the evening EMH park or to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations. On the last day of our last trip, we did 3 parks in one day - Epcot around lunchtime, then DHS for one last look at the Osborne lights, and then we closed down MK EMH.

We're usually in the parks for 9 days and will hop on 4-5 of those days. I usually have our days planned out, but if we're at DHS and DD wants to go to MK for the afternoon, we'll go. Or if we're in MK and I want to spend the rest of the day at EP we'll go. We'll only hop if I haven't scheduled an in-park dinner ADR, though.. it's too much going back and forth all day for me!

We hop nearly every day regardless of what hotel we are staying at. We have stayed at GF, CSR, ASMu, and Pop. Our next trip we are staying at CSR again and will hop.

It depends for us, but we hop a heck of a lot most days.

The bff & I are both AP holders, and we have a lot of friends working down there, so might hop over to a park just to see a parade/character/show and that's it before leaving.

This upcoming trip we have a ton of hopping to do since we haven't been in so long & want to do as much as possible, and have ADR's planned. We'll hit AK, MK & Epcot all on Thursday, Epcot, maybe MK & DHS on Saturday.

AK & DHS are both not full day parks for me. So I'll do a morning/early aft at AK before hopping somewhere, and DHS we usually end up at Epcot in the middle of the day for some snacking/relaxing/drinking and hop back for Fantasmic!

We also last Oct started with EMH at AK, hit up Hollywood with fp+ for headliners, dinner & Fant and then raced over to MK to catch Wishes & do evening EMH

we generally visit 2, sometimes 3 parks per day. In the summer, AK and Epcot close so early that the day would not feel complete without hoppers.

Nearly every day except for our MK day in the past.

On our last trip we didn't park hop much. Between teens getting up late, FP+, and teens not wanting to stay in the parks all day - only I park hopped.

I'd go to one park with the family in the afternoon and then when they got tired of parks and went back to the room, I'd hop to Epcot. It took me 3 evenings but I was able to tour Epcot by myself.

On our AK day, we went to DTD in the evening instead of hopping to another park. My DS18 gave up quick (my husband had already left to go home) and took the bus back to the resort but my DD14 and I had fun shopping together.

I tried to talk the teens into going to all 4 parks and hitting 3 attractions at each park on our final full day at WDW but they didn't go for it. That would've been fun.

I think with FP+ it's a bit harder to park hop.
