How often do you do laundry?

There's four of us - we're usually a one-outfit-per-day kind of family. All that said, if we don't do a load of something each night we'll get behind. We wash towels after every use - me & KAMommy shower every day, and the kids shower every other day in winter (or every day in warmer weather). We run out of good towels after 4 or 5 days. After that we have to use the paper towels. :thumbsup2

I try to do at least one load of laundry a day. Although last week we were out of town for a few days and boy did that laundry pile up. It took me two days of almost constant laundry to get the pile under control. That's why I try doing at least one load a day.

Well, since it's just me. Or well, I only do my laundry. I figure my mom can do her own and my brother. Well, he should be able to do his own, but he often doesn't.

Anyways, I do mine about once a week or so. Sometimes every other week depending. It's mostly only sock and underwear that I wash since I change those everyday. Then sometimes my work clothes if they're dirty and then some shirts if they're dirty, but I wear my shirts more than once cause it'd be a pain to wash every shirt all the time. Especially when they're not really dirty. So yup.

I do 10-12 loads a week...try to do 2 loads a day so it doesn't bury me under a mound of stinky clothes!

Ha ha ha! I do about four loads a day, more when the older two are home from college! I usually do one or two loads of darks, one load of lights, maybe one load of whites, and a load of towels. We only use our towels once before they go in the washer. Once a week I do all the sheets. It seems as if our dryer is always on.

Ditto
And on Saturday and Sunday the washer & dryer run non-stop. Sometimes I even forget what is in there till I open the door.

Every Tues., Thurs. and Sunday (those are my days off). I have 2 DS's and I just can't convince them that sometimes you can actually wear your jeans for 2 or maybe even 3 days if you don't roll arond in the dirt. And I just wish my younger DS would learn that his shirt is NOT a napkin!

I usually end up doing one to two loads during the week, then I wash everything Saturday morning, and whatever's dirty Sunday night gets done. So I do a total of 8-9 loads a week. And that's for three of us.

Pretty much one or two loads daily and then on Saturday I will do about 5-6 that are just the kids clothes. It was so much easier when they were little... this washing 4 sets of adult clothes is for the birds!
Then there are days like today that I am home all day and doing extra laundry that doesn't get done all the time...ie..blankets that are on the couch, pillow covers, bathroom rugs, you get the picture.

We can go a week to 2 weeks before things get desperate and I have to either do laundry or starting wearing the 2nd string undies...

I don't need much of a wardrobe since I work from home, and DH just has an obscene amount of clothes. He doesn't shop, it just seems like every week he brings home a new polo from a vendor or group at work!

I usually do at least a couple of loads every 2-3 days. I hate letting it pile up and then have to spend an entire day doing nothing but laundry.

Umm, sometimes every 2 weeks, other times once a month, sometimes, I've even gone 3 months without doing laundry. I have a LOT of clothing and under garnments.

I started laundry yesterday and I will continue laundry today and probably tomorrow, I have 6 loads of bedding alone, we will probably do 15-20 loads of laundry. I hate hate hate laundry time.

We live in a condo, and the laundry facilities are 2 floors above us, so it's a pain to get it up there. When we move, we will have our own machine and will probably do laundry once a week if not more often. I can't wait.

As infrequently as possible! I HATE doing laundry. I don't even own an iron--I send all our work clothes to the dry cleaners. I keep waiting for our dry cleaner to offer us a pair of his Pats tickets.

As far as the rest of the clothes, I don't mind starting it, but I hate moving the laundry into the dryer, and I hate folding it the most! Thankfully DH helps out. We do most of it on weekends--four or five loads usually. And we let the clean clothes all pile up on the bed until everything is dry, then do the folding in one marathon session.

So I'm not giving Martha Stewart a run for her money, what can I say?

I don't do laundry. The laundry fairy does. I simply throw my dirty clothes down the chute, and a week later I find it all nice and clean, hanging on a hanger in my closet. I don't have any idea how this happens. Unfortunately, I have seemingly missplaced my wife as I never see her after we put our son to bed. She just heads off to the basement muttering something I can never quite make out...

Usually several times a week. Always on the weekend, and usually into monday and Tuesday. Now that I have one of those front load washers that can wash larger loads, I am not having to do as many loads. Good thing, because it takes twice as long for the load to get done.

Once to twice a day. With 4 kids I can´t imagine going a day without.

I suppose we'd have more to wash if I didn't dry clean most of my work clothes.

I noticed a HUGE difference when DH and I quit working in the office with all the dry cleaning. Now he's on the jobsite and can just wear khaki's and a button down shirt everyday. That and it's so much more expensive when we don't have those $1.59 per piece cleaners anymore!!

I'm also amazed at how much laundry we generate with just the two of us. We joke about "Those People" who come into our house and dirty our clothes and dishes because there's no way we do that ourselves. :lmao:

Well I am glad I found someone that does laundry as infrequently as me. I was starting to feel bad. :goodvibes
