Last time we went to Disney we stayed at the Poly and the only request we made was for a specific longhouse and we got that request. This time we are staying at the BWI and have a request for an Epcot facing room. Just wondering for those of you who make or have made requests, were they granted? Thanks!

Tough to say. Some always get a request and some say they seldom get theirs. We don't always make one but when we do I would say we have about 80 percent success. Keeping it fairly generic as you have probably helps.

We have 80% success asking for a building group, or first floor, or our favorite at BWV, first floor leisure pool view.

We always have at least one request on our reservations. Sometimes we get one or all of them granted, sometimes none of them. And we're fine with that- after all it is ONLY a request and can never be guaranteed. A lot depends on the occupancy rate of the hotel, how many are checking in/out on the day you arrive, the time of day you arrive, and the kind of request(s) that you have made.

OR, to put it another way

The answer is 42.

We make only general requests (ie "top floor") and almost always get them.

I have always gotten all of my requests granted. That being said, I never expect to have them granted as I know they are only requests. I try to keep the requests general depending on the resort. For example, at BC I put down quiet room, 2 queen beds (got a FABULOUS, huge corner room with a huge balcony - couldn't have been quieter). At Poly I asked for quiet room, 3rd floor, close to GCH. Got a fabulous room on the 3rd floor at the very end of the hall in Rarotonga - couldn't have been better!

The first time I ever made a room request, I made a very specific one at Poly, 3rd floor, Fiji, marina side, connecting rooms and I actually got every request! I would never make that request again, though - I got REALLY lucky on that one.

I think "facing EPCOT" is general enough to have a good shot at your request! I know the CM's do their best to grant the requests if there are rooms available.

When I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn I asked for a room facing Epcot. I didn't get it.

I normally only request a high floor since I travel solo and that's pretty much what I care about.

The next time I stay at Port Orleans Riverside though I'm requesting a mansion building, high floor because I didn't care for the Alligator Bayou area that they put me in the last time.
