How nice are Polynesian-gardenview rooms

Sorry....you're right. May you discover the magic on your own.

I hope you have a great vacation and enjoy both resorts! :wizard:

BCV23,

Thanks. I couldn't have planned my vacation to WDW this well without the help of you and everyone else on this board that has chimmed in.

You're a lucky person to be going to the Poly for the first time! :earseek: When I first went to WDW for my first time in 4/89 I toured the Poly and told myself one day I would stay there and I did......13 years later! :rotfl: Oct 2002 was my first stay at the Poly and I have been hooked ever since and this upcomming trip will be my third time! I'm hooked and my wife and I are going to book our wedding vow renewal at the Poly for our 10 year anniversary in 2007! In fact we want to put a deposit down on it when we get back in May. It's a special place for me and my family and I hope to visit my favorite resort in the whole wide world, every year! One can dream, can't they? :teeth: Enjoy your stay and good luck trying to beat the spell of the Poly!

disneyfan67,

This is actually my second thime to WDW, but my first staying on site. If it wasn't for the AP rates I got, I wouldn't be staying at Poly, and would probably be splitting my stay between POP and CBR.

It is one of those times where you just have to go for it, because you never know when you will be able to stay at a place like the Polynesian again.

You are going to have a great time, Jason. But let me warn you, once you stay concierge you will never stop, it's the only way I go....

Enjoy the Poly and have a great trip,Just returned in Jan.and we were in Samoa third floor facing the volcano pool.Fabulous view of pool, lagoon, wedding pavillon,GF,and the monorail. We would request it again.Cant wait untill our next trip. :earboy2:

crazy4dizney,

Thanks. It is funny how things work out sometimes. Who would have thought that I would get a chance to stay at a monorail resort.

I'm getting that same feeling I use to get when I was a kid and Christmas was just around the corner. I am only 16 days away from my trip.

Hey Jason, it's going to fly! I can't believe that one week ago we were dining at Cape May!

rcraw45425,

That is why I have the second trip planned so when I get back, it will be time to my PS reservations and decide on a resort (like we don't already know where I am going to stay Poly).

As you see by my counter I'm already deep into planning our next trip and we have only been back 4 days! Nothing beats planning for me. Except being there of course. I'm trying to justify a summer trip while school is out as well as another one for the Halloween party in October

I added a 3 day/2 night trip over Labor day and am thinking about maybe another 3 day/2 night trip Nov 25-27 to see the decorations.

Yes that would be 4 trips in one year, but isn't that what getting an AP is for.

We did three last year without APs. I broke down after our lst one (October) and bought an adult voucher, even though we still had hoppers left. Well when we went last week I wound up activating mine and gave my three remaining days to DH, and I bought our 9 year old and AP while she could still get kids price and gave her three days to her younger sister. That way DH and DD7 used one set of tickets for last weeks trip and they still have another set for APril. I'll probably purchase one more adult and one more child's AP voucher and hold them until we go the next time. That will stagger when I have to renew them (less $$ at one time) and we'll then be able to go straight to the parks regardless of our arrival time without "wasting" a ticket day. See, I can justify it, the sign of a true Disneyholic! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Insanity is another sign :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

rcraw45425,

A true sign of a disneyholic is when the only speed dial on a persons phone (me :earsboy: ) is for WDW resort reservations .

I think that because I will have an AP lying around the house I will be taking advantage of as many 3 day holidays this year as possible. I'm only 3-3.5 hours by plane, can get there by 11am, have 1.5 days at WDW and then fly home.

I am possible going from 1 trip in the last 4 years, to 4 trips in 1 year. I guess I am making up for lost time.

rcraw45425,

Yes I do. Programmed in both my home phone and cell phone, just incase codes come out while I am at lunch.

rcraw45425,

How did you know that I was going to end up finding a way to stay my entire trip at the Polynesian Resort. I go from starting with value/moderate and end up with the Polynesian. Funny how things sometimes workout.

Jason-
Wow! Now your entire stay will be at Poly!
I guess you can thank us for that but hope you don't mind. You won't be sorry either, the Poly is beautiful and you'll feel like your at the islands!
Enjoy!!

We love the Poly, it's our favorite resort. We always book a garden view versus paying the extra $$ for a lagoon view because most of the garden views are so nice...looking out over pools and/or lush tropical surroundings. The rooms at the Poly are really big! We like that. Always clean, in our experience, nothing real fancy but nice nonetheless. The lack of fancy is made up for with the beautiful surroundings. We absolutely love the Poly!

Ours was great! We had a garden view room in Raratonga overlooking the quiet pool. We were on the 3rd floor with a balcony. The room looked to have been recently refurbished, too! I highly recommend it!

DisneyFans4,

Yes I can thank you guys for this ;) . I am sure that this will spoil any other resort that I would ever stay at, but I figure why not.

By the way did you notice I'm down to 14 days :cool1:
