I wouldn't pay anything either, but I am not as convinced as some others that this is ever going to be offered this directly. There are a lot of other ways for Disney to use FPs as an enticement to spend money on something else. The most often cited one is giving more FPs to onsite guests than offsite, and/or to give more based on the level of onsite resort. Another that I have thought about is to allow an extra FP or two in a second park for guests who have AP or park hoppers. Some people have concluded that Disney is trying to discourage hopping by limiting FPs to one park per day. But, there is no reason to assume that things will stay that way forever. And I don't think Disney added buses directly between the parks if they didn't expect them to be used. If Disney offers another FP or two in a second park (including a tier 1 FP in the second park) that might encourage people to buy the hopper option, and that just helps Disney achieve their goal of spending a lot of time on Disney property. This would be similar to what Universal is doing by putting the new Harry Potter Diagon Alley in the Universal Studios park. Anyone who wants to see both Harry Potter areas, and ride the Hogwarts Express between them, has to have a two park ticket. Disney does not have the market cornered on "shameless money grabs", even in the theme park business.
I like where your head's at. And ITA.
