record at WDW? I bought my camcorder this weekend (YAY!!!). I also bought eight 60-90 minute tapes. I'm thinking that's going to be plenty, but it is the first time I've taken a camcorder to WDW. I want to tape Fantasmic and some of MVMCP and will carry it to the parks for miscellaneous recording. Do you think I have enough tapes?

I would think so but I don't carry my video cam very often and I have no children to film so I could be wrong.

Sounds like more than enough. We try and tape only at 2-3 minute intervals. Sometimes what you think is fun to look at may be boring later.

Have fun!

I'm the technologically handicapped person who doesn't own a DVD OR a camcorder! If you can believe that! :D

We went to WDW last December for 6 days/7 nights and taped 2.5 hours. We don't have kids, so we didn't tape too much. We taped snipets of the MVMCP shows, our camera has a "photo" option and we used that for the parade floats instead of taping the entire parade, I taped a lot of CP, we taped Osbourne lights, DH participating in street performance in England, and misc. stuff.

I drag my camcorder on every trip, and I usually tape about an hour total. Every trip I tell myself I'm going to leave the thing at home, but I always end up taking it.

I think you have more than enough tapes.

Yeah I would say so.....I take mine where ever we go in Disney....Every park.....everywhere they let me tape I tape.....I have a few extra batteries to take along.....but I usually let my friends carry those for me.....We even take the Cam Corder into Pleasure Island.....I have some Unique recordings in there........But yeah I would think you have more than enough tapes.......

Make sure you have enough batteries...
You have to have at least 2 to be safe...
Sounds like you have plenty of tapes...

We do a lot of filming at home, but I never bring the camcorder to WDW. I hate lugging it around the parks. Of course, it would be a different story if I could afford one of those compact digital machines:) :) :) ........

Last year we were there for a week and I did about 3 hours of tape. I made sure to tape a lot of the shows like Fantasmic, Lion King, & Tarzan(not the entire show, but a lot). This year since I knew I had most of those shows on tape already, I didnt do much of those, just the family, on rides and attractions. I also made sure to videotape the signs of places we were going in, but couldnt tape (like Universe of Energy) so I sort of have a video trip report. That took up just under 2 hours.
