My kids are desperate to go to a taping of Slime Time, but we are only going to IOA for 1 day and I don't want to waste all of it on a taping. Can someone who has attended give me an idea what to expect for this. THANKS!

First, you have to wait in line to get tickets. I think ticket distrubtion occurs around 2 pm, but I've seen people start to line up as early as 11 am. I assume some people have been there since park opening! So if you want to be assured that you will get a ticket, line up early. Then you have to spend a few hours on the Slime Time set. It could be an all-day thing, but I would at least put aside a few hours for standing in line and waiting on the set.

Pretty much you are going to use up most of your day.

That's why you need to get a 2-day pass instead. So you can enjoy Slimetime and the rest of the parks!

Slime tiem live is not at IOA it is at Universal Studios. In very slow times you can walk up and get tickets but the rest of the time there is a long wait. Only those in line can get tickets. No children under 5 are allowed in a taping.

My kids wanted to see Slime time last year during the week before Easter. We had to get in line at 11:30(and there were already many people ahead of us. My daughter got picked to be on the show. We had about 45 minutes after the selection process was over before she had to be back for the show. We didn't get finished until about 6:00Pm and the older kids got done after that. This took up most of the day. I felt it was an incredible waste of our last day, however my kids opinion was very different. Now I just have to go back this year to see what we missed while waiting for Slimetime!:smooth:

The other option is to just show up at taping time and watch from the other side of the barriers(if the weather is good and they are outside)The cast even goes over and talks to some of these people on camera, and you won't be forced to clap till your hand ache.

beavismom, don't forget to call first to make sure that there is a taping on your day!

I finally found a couple of days that my son can get to see a taping. All of the days we tried before there was either no taping or I wasn't ready or willing to wait. I told the lady on the phone that my son was picked both of the two times we went to the Nick show and she told me that he probably has that "look". I hope so! I'll have the VCR going on that day! :D

When we went in May last year, BOTH of my kids were picked to be contestants (they both have big mouths like their Dad). It basically used up the whole afternoon, from about 1:30 PM until 6:00 PM. Luckily, USF was open pretty late that night (9 PM?) and we were able to do all of the stuff we wanted to do. However, I don't think the kids will want to do it again. Too much sitting around waiting for too little fun.

Cool, Dave, a long time to wait around but a once in a lifetime experience, huh?

Since we're going down for a week, I figured we'd donate a day to this. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

By the way, the number to call to check scheduling is 1-407-363-8500.

Robin, it definitely was cool for the kids. When we got back to KS, all their friends had seen them on TV and were treating them like some kind of stars. Made them tough to live with for a few weeks. :p
