How much time did you spend to do you fp+ at your 60 day opening?

I am wondering what the average time spent on this is. Today my ADR planning with the glitchy mde site took close to 90 min total. So how long did your fp+ booking take?

about 20 minutes.
i choose what FP+'s i wanted for each day (5 park days total) and chose the best of the 4 options i was given and then went back and played around with the timing to get it just right for me.

it would have only taken 5 minutes had i not wanted to change the timing for almost every FP+ to get it just right for the itinerary that i had envisioned in my head.

I totally forgot that yesterday was my fp+ booking day. I went into today and booked FP+. It only took about 30 minutes for the 5 days I'll be there. I'm considering changing a couple of them around so that might take another 20 minutes or so if I do that.

I was happy it didn't take long this time. ADR's took even less time but I only booked 3 TS meals.

It's been a long time since I had to do it but if I'm remembering right it was about 30 minutes to book for 5 days. I had very specific times in mind so most of that 30 minutes was spent modifying what Disney gave me. If you're more flexible than I was it shouldn't take very long.

I did 8 days in about 25 minutes. That included picking times in the morning so I could slide them into the times I really wanted in the late afternoon and early evening.

That thread exists because the FP+ window does not always open at 12am at 60 days. On days that the MK doesn't close until 1am, FP+ booking is not available until 1am. Disney doesn't post this anywhere, it's something that posters here figured out. Mesa created the thread and bumps it whenever MK 1am closing days are approaching, in the hopes that DISers who go into MDE at 12 am and find the window not open will see that thread when they come to the DIS and realize that the booking window will open at 1am.

Thanks for explaining this, I had heard you can make your fast pass + choices at midnight, but every time I called the Disney customer service line, they always told me at 7AM, so I have to check and see if my Fast pass plus date has early magic hours or not

I just spent an hour for nine days, BUT, I am very, very slow about doing things I enjoy. I would make a single day's selection, then transfer it into a Word document, pause to make the formatting pretty, admire my work, then mosey on back to the site to make another day's selections. Adjust times. Back to the Word document. And so on. If I'd been in a hurry, 10-15 minutes would have been plenty.

But it's Sunday morning, my mother-in-law's making breakfast, and I don't have to be ready for church for another hour! :)

The answer is midnight, except when a park closes its regular hours after that. Extra Magic Hours is not a factor. See the purple link in my signature for a complete explanation and a list of upcoming dates.

Ok great, so the first night of my stay (August 20th) the Magic Kingdom closes at 10PM (and has extra magic hours, but like you said that does not matter) , so on my fast pass + booking day (June 21), I can go online at midnight, correct?

It is not the park hours on the day you are booking FPs for, but the day your booking window opens (for instance, 60 days before that) that determines the opening window time.

ok, so the day I can book my fast pass + (June 21st) the magic kingdom hours are: 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM , so what time would I be able to book them online? (sorry to have so many questions, last year I forgot to book them on time & this year I would like to book them as soon as the window opens)

Technically, it's the park hours the day before that determine the opening window. If on June 20, MK closes at midnight or before then your booking window will open at midnight. I tried to explain this in the purple link--if that is unclear, I may need to refine it.

Doing it at 60 days at midnight with 5 day tickets, it only took seconds for each page to load, a couple minutes or so per park(day) to tinker with my time slot options. What took the most time was planning in advance on Touring Plans what rides I wanted and the appx times to try for on each ride. So altogether maybe 10-15 minutes booking time. I was worried based on threads on these forums, but it took me wayyyyyy longer trying to load pages to book dining reservations in the span of days between 80-60+ days before park. (Some of which the system deleted after I booked).

I just finished mine so it took me about 30 minutes. That was to book seven days of FP+ for three people (all three had the same reservations) and to get the times changed. I was able to get everything I wanted and after changing the times and all within 30 minutes of when I hoped to have them.

It took me about 15 minutes last august to book 10 days worth of fastpasses for 2 of us, allthough i did go in after that and mess about with the timings slightly. This was done right as the booking window opened as we were in the US at the time, unfortunately this time we'll be in the UK when the booking window opens so it will be 5am/6am and I'm not willing to get up that early lol
