Need more info. Are they on the dining plan? Is he more of a budgeter? Do they like to eat? ;) goofy question I know but my family is a bunch of foodies, when we go on vacation food is not a area where we try to budget so we bring a lot more. Last year we brought $250 per day. I didn't spend that much but I like to splurge when I'm on vacation. I'm the goofy person who will buy hats with mickey ears for $30 bucks a pop and I think buying souvieners before hand because they are cheaper outside the parks defeats the fun. What are they like?

more info needed.

Are you getting the free dining package?
Are you drinkers?
Are you shoppers?

If you are on the free dining plan, you won't need much for food if anything. It's a LOT of food. Here, I would have them budget for any alcoholic beverages they might want and maybe $10 per day over that.

There are lots of tempting shops, especially at Epcot. You could easily go nuts but they can determine how much they want to spend on souveniers. Remember, it's not cheap!

Pretty much everything in the parks is free (I assume you have your passes) . But perhaps a night at Pleasure Island or the Boardwalk?

Hope this helps!

We bring about $100/day each spending money. This will allow us to buy any of those t-shirts, glasses, solls, outfits, gotta-have scrapbook items, etc. We also bring stuff home for others as well. ;)

I am only counting for pocket money and lunch, just for me. I put $50 a day into my wallet. I usually don't spend that much. By the 3rd day I am thinking of buying myself something nice to bring home. Even then, $50 is more then I spend a day.

Cool
Your meals are your biggest expense in the world. I would budget for a little out of pocket stuff maybe $100 bucks a day. Dh & I like to have a beer with lunch or dinner so we have to pay for that and there were days when we had 2 TS's a day (usually a breakfast and a dinner) so one had to be paid oop. I know you get snack credits but some times you just have to have more than one dole whip a day. LOL
We're not huge, huge souvie shoppers but have you noticed that every ride in disney dumps you into a gift shop? Generally we each (4 of us) would get a really cool shirt or sweatshirt if we seen one and some times I'll pick up a picture frame or photo album. I think $100 bucks a day for all 3 of you will be fine.
With us, the first day is the hardest! Our greedy little eyes want every thing we see!

Have a great trip

I would make two separate budgets....

one for food (if you're not on the dining plan)

and one for spending.

We are on the Dining Plan and bring $200 for family of 3.

BUT the day we went to DOwntown Disney was the day we went over budget...try to save DTD for the last day and use the money you didn't spend the rest of the vacation.

we have the dining plan .. and our tickets are park hopper and water park and more fun tickets.. so basically just shopping money.. nothing else besides that they dont drink alot so i wouldnt really say money for that.

then I think they'd be fine with Chessie's suggestion of $50 per day. If you spend it, fine. If not, more for tomorrow! Have a great time!!!

Whatever you think you need......Double it!!! Mickey always takes as much of my $$$ as possible.
