Hi All -

I visited the SafeSea web site to place my order and noticed that all of the bottles only come in 4 oz. sizes. I am considering buying the SPF 30 for kids since I have two children with sensitive skin and I figured me and me DH could use it as well. My question to you is the one 4 oz. bottle enough the entire seven day Eastern trip. Considering four of us may go into the ocean three times?

Thanks for your all of your expericence. Don't know what I would do with it:)

If you are only going in the ocean a few times and it's 2 adults and 2 kids (I'm assuming not older kids?) then one bottle would do it.

Have a great time. I'm counting the days and dreaming!!

I think the 4 oz. bottle should be fine, but I think SafeSea is not as effective as a sunblock as it is for the sea lice. We usually put it on once in the room (you need to get in under your suit as the problem is usually where the suit meets the skin. Then once out in the sun use a different sun screen for the SPF.

I just got my Safe Sea and it is really thick. I think I am going to mix it with sunscreen and then put it on.....that way it will go on easier plus last longer.

I also heard that with the sea lice, once you get out of the water, you should shower but pull your clothing away from your body...it seems they get trapped inside your suit and that is what makes them sting you. We were at Castaway Cay in May 2001 and did not have a problem at all. But I think better safe than sorry. Sea lice is one free souvenir I do not want to take home with me.

You will find the thread for safesea at the top of this cruise line forum. It is titled....Almost everything you want to know about sea lice but was afraid to ask. :)
