Yet another Free Dining Question

Okay, this must be on here someplace but I'm not seeing it.

Trying to do more Disney math:rotfl:

How much more is it if I want to stay at a value and upgrade to Regular Dining plan as opposed to Quick Service plan?
I need to figure out with 7 people (5 adults/2 kids) if I should just go ahead and book 2 rooms at moderate or 2 rooms at value and upgrade dining plan?:confused3

Help me please all you Disney Math gurus!

I already know room rates so not asking that.
(Mod @ $149 vs. value at $82 a night) x two of course for the whole clan.

I think it was 10 per day per person? I am not 100% sure though!

I know it was posted in a thread at some point in the last week or so.

We checked both was (value with the upgrade vs mod with free) the difference between the two was only $200.00 and we got the park hopper option for 4 people. I would call and get a quote both ways. You might be able to stay in a mod for the same price.:thumbsup2

so for my party size and extra $54 a day, bum! Not enough to merit the moderate. I love the moderates (if I can't have a deluxe that is!).

math breakdown

2 moderates with Regular free dining plan = approx. $300 a night

2 values with free quick service ($164 a night)
or
2 values upgraded to "free" regular plan= ($218 a night)

hhmmm, just made me think though, If I could put each room on a different plan. . .

1 value with quick service free dining ( the teens prefer QS meals) $82for 2 or 3 teens

plus

1 value with upgraded dining plan (2 adults, 2 kids) $106 or $116 a night (depending on where 3rd teens wants to eat:rotfl:)

Equals $198 a night. . . interesting.

Anyone have any more creative math I haven't thought about?

or think I should leave my DS22 with my 2 teens (DS17,DD14) at a value and move myself and my DH and two little ones over to a moderate?! My teens woudl call that high adventure! Maybe I could even stay at POR and take the DD14 with us. ($82 + $149= $231)

so many possiblities.

and yes, before anyone ask or comments, I completely trust my teens and 22 year old. They have all stayed away from home or at home alone too many times to count since they were young teens. And they know WDW inside and out.
