How much off do you typically get with the codes?

Is there an average percentage - how does it work? Could anyone use the codes if they are posted here? Thanks!

Discount codes vary. Greatly. I've seen them with 10%, 15% or even as much as 30% off for the public codes.

As a general rule, the higher the discount, the more restrictions apply. For example, a higher discount might apply to fewer dates, be available at fewer rooms at fewer resorts. Some discounts are not available at certain resorts. That's just how it is.

Most of the deepest discounts are reserved for the "PIN CODE" offers that are exclusive to the recipient and cannot be transferred or shared with a friend. These offers are keyed to your name and address and cannot be used by another person.

As for finding them, the publicly usable codes are ALWAYS available on the parent site to the DISBOARDS at this address:

An average is usually about 20% off room rates! I am not sure about ticket packages and that sort of code...They have been as high s 40% off room rates...Anyone can TRY to use the codes that are posted! Disney Visa holders sometimes get a code on a postcard in the mail. I got one earlier in the spring this year. It is random selection! Hope this helps! You can already have an existing reservation, or it can be a new one...call the Disney reservation number and tell them you have a discount code. They will see if the dates work with code and punch it into the system! That's what I did for our October trip...They also offer free dining at certain times of the year...not usually summer (prime time)...usually later, like August, when kids are starting to go back to school, September, sometimes, October...you never know what they are going to offer, that is sort of the fun search for the CODES!!!!

My last two stays have been with the 40% off code. In 2005, i got the code via a PIN number and this year i got the code floating around during the 1st quarter of this year. I simply asked for it and received it, even though it took me quite a few tries to get it.

Strangely enough when I called to book our hotel for October (in January) I had yet to receive my discount code in the mail. I got a rate of $99 / night at the Port Orleans Riverside which was fabulous. I received my discount code postcar d in the mail a week after I already booked offering us 40 percent off room rates (during specific times), which I was given a week earlier without the code! Strange but very good!

I didn't have a code at all when I called to book my room, the agent simply asked me to hold while she checked availability and when she told me the rate I nearly fell off my chair as we paid about 159/night last year for the same room type (and I thought that was good). Anyways I went and booked the room right away and received the postcard in the mail the following week advising of the discount rate code for the fall. Looks like I got my 40% even though I had not provided the agent with any rate codes!

They can tell when they look on the computer who is being offerred the rate at a discount. She knew youe card was in the mail and gave you the rate because you were going to get it anyway....Glad this worked out for you..

Now if they would only give me 40% when I book my park passes that would be a dream come true. Oh well....I'll take what I can get!
