How much money.....

Right now our budgeted total for a week's stay is $3850 for 6 of us. Here is what is included:

5 total tanks of gas to get there and back
hotel night on the way there and hotel on the way back
food on the way there and back
House rental for a week while there including refundable deposit
5 day park hopper tickets for 5 (yay military discount and one kid under 3!)
parking for 5 days
2 tanks of gas for use while in FL
souveniers - photopass cd and silhouettes are all we really want
7 full meals bought at the parks including CRT, Akershus, RFC and the others are counter service
5 snacks bought at the parks
admission to Bok Sanctuary
groceries for meals eaten at the house/packed lunches and snacks

Not too shabby!! And we have set aside $600 in additional spending money that isn't earmarked for anything yet.

There are 4 adults 4 children. Staying at Board Walk Inn 2 standard rooms. Deluxe Dining plan. Airline Tickets, spending at DTD, La Nouba, $$$, etc.
Our total will be between $15,000. - $20,000.
This will be the last trip to Disney for me and my husband (we're almost seniors) unless we both get night jobs :smokin:

Our 1st trip was AKL club with Deluxe Dining so we were some where between 5-6k and our 2nd trip was the Ft Wilderness cabins without a dining plan peak season and that was close to 5k when all was said and done.

This next trip will definitely be our cheapest - Military offer on tickets $300 - lodging is an already paid for timeshare - and then food.

We are going to stay at Pop for the 4/3 deal. We are spending around $900 on flights for our family of 4. The room is $1233 for 7 nights. We are planning on using the $200 gift card on food and we are doing lots of picnics. We hope to spend as least as possible.:rotfl2: Our trip was supposed to be just 3 nights onsite- 2 days MYW. But with the 4/3 deal, it cost only $78 more for the upgrade to 7 nights stay/ 7 days in the parks. So now we just need to figure out how to save on food.

we spent roughly 5,000.00 for our 2008 disney vacation
inlcuding air, hotel, tickets, dining plan tips, oop expenses and souviners

we did POP October 18th-November 4th for 2 adults and 1 teen (14 at time)

we are locking in for our 2009 trip
hoping for free dining
August 29th- September 13th
split stay CBR and POP
for the three of us should run about the same.. i am crunching numbers in my spare time as we speak

:lmao:

We spent I think $4000 last year? No rental car, no airline tickets. 14 hour drive, gas and stuff included in that amount. We bought tickets for 2 trips at once with no expire and stuff so that was the biggest chunk of change. Family of 5 and we spent a LOT on souvenirs last trip because it was the first time for me and the kids.

This year we are spending much less, I would say $1000-2000? We have days left on our passes so just paying hotel, food, gas to get there. We moved and have a much shorter drive this year too. We don't do dining, we prefer to eat cheap and buy more stuff to take home with us. We may end up spending less which is what I'm hoping but if not so be it. Without the military discounts we couldn't do it or return this year so I'm so happy for that!

So much depends on where we stay and how many TS we do since we don't get the DDP.

In June 05, we stayed value for 6 nights, had 1 TS and spent 1,400.00 - we already had our tickets left from a previous trip.

In Sept. 08 we stayed deluxe for 6 nights, had 4 TS and went to MNSSHP - we spent 4,960.00 but that does include buying AP's.

In June 09, we are also staying deluxe for 7 nights but I got the 4/3 deal and we are only planning on 3 TS unless I get crazy and want to add another one and we'll probably spend about 3,500.00.

DD and I had a long weekend trip in Nov to go to MVMCP, stayed value and spent just under 1,100.00. That included our airfare.

We've got a family long weekend trip coming up in March, we are staying moderate with only 1 TS and I've calculated it out to be 1,000.00 since I was able to get a 30% bounceback rate.

These include all food (we don't bring food from home) and souveniers plus we normally drive there so it includes the gas too.

We have spent anywhere from $3,000.00 to $16,000.00 total on our trips. When we spent $3k, we were a family with 3 adults and 2 children (for tickets and meals), we stayed offsite and mostly ate offsite. We bought the cheapest tickets (only what we needed for the days we were there). We were in Orlando for 10 days...so I think we did really good on that one.

When we spent 16k, we were a family with 5 adults and 1 infant, staying onsite (2 rooms), eating exclusively onsite, buying the 10 day park hoppers/nonexpiring/with water parks. It was a much needed family trip and we did pretty much what we wanted. We were also there for 10 days on that one.

The cheap one was also 9 years ago and the expensive one was last year, so some of the difference is just in inflation. I know we could not do the 1st trip again this year for the same money. I also included spending money (souvies and such) in the last trip and I didn't with the 1st because I don't remember (but it was probably around $200).

We booked the 4/3 deal at CBR with basic dining so that was $2400 (and some change)
Gas there and back. No idea yet since gas is fluctuating but I have $400 set aside which is more then we spent last year so any extra goes towards whatever.
$300 For extras and tips, most of it will be tips.
Then we will bring another $200 or so for just in case money.
We are cheap on the souvenirs and extras. We shop the outlet stores for our souvenirs mostly buying only one or two small things in the park.

upcoming 2009 4/3 deal for 8 nights and WL w/ base tix and DDP 4100$
airfare 600$ extras 300$ = 5K  Still convicing DH he saved some $$ on this one though.:rolleyes1

2006 7 night Disney Cruise = 5K

2004 FW camping 8 nights = 2K

1996 WL 7 nights = ~$1500

Let's see we've given disney ~13,500$ over the years.:sad2:

This will be the last trip for a long time to disney. Kid's will be considered adults after this trip. AND THAT IS JUST TOO MUCH $$$ to justify.:)

DVC member so its hard for me to factor purchase price in, but will factor in monthly dues as our standard for each trip:

DVC Trip
$2450 Annual Dues
$900 AP's (2 adult 1 child - dvc discount) use them for approx 6 weeks per year
$1000 per trip dining
$300 per trip souvy's
$200 gas per trip

6 trips per year - average $2000 per trip

Now with my mom's CM discount:
1/15-1/19
Ft Wild - $112/night x 2 nights
CR Tower Lake View - $175/night x 3 nights
Meal plan $20.99 per day
Allegiant Air - $65 round trip x 3 people

Total - $1200 -$1500

I'll go! We are leaving this sunday!

4 nights in the world:

Room - BWV (DVC). Not sure how I should count this so I will charge myself a rental price of $10/point. That would be $360
Tickets - We have Premium Annual Passes. We've already used these for free dining and a few other trips. But if we did not have the passes we probably would have done just free dining. So I'll charge us half the cost, or about $500
Food - We are doing deluxe dining for 4 nights - which is like $580. But we have about $500 Visa Rewards, which really is found money since we don't carry a balance. I think I figured we will need about $150 in tips.

So our price for that is around $1090, but we really only have to pay the $230ish for tips and the rest of the dining plan.

We are also doing a 3 night cruise - which was $670. We got $125 OBC back but I will just nix that out as covering parking, gas, tolls, and tips.

So even with the estimating everything in on the high end we are paying $1760 for 4 nights deluxe accomodations, deluxe dining, and deluxe tickets (hopping and the and-more options) and 3 nights of cruising. I love DVC!

Approx. $3,000 for 10 nights - 10 Day hopper ticket (no pool pass) at CRS and close to $1,000 round trip airfare from D.C. We spend around $1,000 on food and another $500 - $1000 on souvenirs and what not’s when we are there. Family of 4 - DW - me and the 2 (teen) DD's. So close to $6,000 total when is all said and done and we are back home recuperating and planning to go again!

Going eight nights March 14th through the 22th staying at the Grand Floridian on buy 4 get 3 with dining, including air and spending should be just under $7K.

I think since we are DVC members, it's a little difficult to get an exact figure, but here is my approximation:

For 14 nights, 2 adults, 2 children:
(airfare, DVC resort, car rental, APs, US/IOA tickets, food and incidentals)
Total approx using DVC points: $9500:eek:

Now that I look at it:scared1: I am glad we are DVC members. Also, since our airfare (Canada) is $3000. It really adds up. However, on average (no trip to US/IOA or car rental), we spend approximate $7500 for 14 nights. We also save by getting the APs (this year, we will be able to stretch it for 3 vacations before it expires which totals about 30 park days with one AP!:cool1: )

This is the most expensive vacation we've had so far. Our cheapest vacation trip to Disney was in 1996, staying off property with just my husband and I, airfare, car rental, Sheraton, 7 day park hopper tickets, food and incidentals for 7 days, approximately $2500.

Two adults, one junior, one child:
11 nights, All Star Music Family Suite (AAA discount), no dining plan, 5 TS meals, breakfast in the room, 10 day park hoppers, driving and staying overnight:

$1,955 for room, $1,100 for tickets, $1,000 for food, $500 driving expenses, so overall we expect to pay around $5,000 for two weeks. I think that's cheap! If we cut out the TS meals and watch our pennies, we could do it for $4,000.

Our trip in November we had 3 adults and one junior in our room for 8 nights, 5 days tickets and free dining we paid $1803. My grandparents with our youngest (3 adults one child) in a seperate room but same, 8 nights, 5 day tickets and free dining was around $1500 (can't remember for sure, didn't pay for it so can't remember:laughing: )

I think one of the things my DH loves most about me, I am a cheap date.:rotfl: I LOVE the values, have no desire to stay anywhere else, and always is looking for a great deal. Plus, we get to go more often then if we went deluxe. For us, it works.

We drove (straight through, no hotel), and gas was about $300.

I've never spent over $1000.
My mom/parents paid for the first two trips.
Then on the trips w/ my husband we had good hotel deals/free tickets, etc...
And next year I'm going with my girlfriends so we'll be splitting the trip 3 ways- including the 40% military discount and military tickets.
It should be right around $700 (plus whatever I spend on food/souveniers, etc..)
