How much money.....

Haven't booked everything but we are driving down in Aug for 8 days. For 2 adults and 2 children, QSDP, 6 day park hopper tickets and staying at ASM, it's gonna be around $2500. Add extras and we will probably spend around $3000. That's going thru Dreams Unlimited of course!;) Through Disney it was gonna be almost $300 more.

We went last September. We had 2 adults and one child (my youngest was only 2) and we stayed off site at a house split with 2 other families. We had 7 day park hoppers and we spent probably around $4000.00 So we are gonna be saving around $1000.00 and we've added one more child ticket and eats to the picture. Plus we get the perks of staying on site. We shoulda gone thru Dreams last time:guilty:

Last trip we dropped about $6500 for DW, DS, DD and I. That included all of our expenses including driving a rental from Michigan, DDP, 7 days and 6 nights at POFQ, tips, LaNouba and Wrestling Tickets.

This year it is just DW and I and I've budgeted $3200 for 8 days and 7 night at CSR w/ DDP and we will be flying this time.

We splurged on our last trip and spent close to $6500 for 7 days/6 nights at the Poly CL on the then Platinum plan. It was an anniversary trip for us and the last big trip we were taking before we hopped on the 'chuga-chuga-make-a-baby' train. Costs didn't include airfare. I managed to work some frequent flyer mileage voodoo and got good deals there.

We will probably spend a similar amount on our next trip, 3 years from now, but it will be for 3 1/2 people (2 adults, 1 child and 1/2 an adult as we pay for some of my mom's share).

We don't get to go as often as I would like so I can justify the expense.

Our trip in November we had 3 adults and one junior in our room for 8 nights, 5 days tickets and free dining we paid $1803. My grandparents with our youngest (3 adults one child) in a seperate room but same, 8 nights, 5 day tickets and free dining was around $1500 (can't remember for sure, didn't pay for it so can't remember:laughing: )

I think one of the things my DH loves most about me, I am a cheap date.:rotfl: I LOVE the values, have no desire to stay anywhere else, and always is looking for a great deal. Plus, we get to go more often then if we went deluxe. For us, it works.

I so agree, I would rather have a bunch of "cheap" mini-vacations than only go once the entire year. Some of these numbers are mind-boggling.:scared1:

Ok Now I know I am doing something wrong.....I have never spent less then $7000 on a WDW vacation.

Family of four...we usually go 9 or 10 nights...stay at a moderate or Dolphin with the gov't rate.

What am I doing wrong?

Our 8 night 9 day trip in April will cost about:
airfare for 5 from CT: $2000
8 day hopper pass: $1500
DDP for 5 over age 9:$1600
misc shopping, etc. : $500
rental car: $350
2 dogs in the kennel back in CT: $700 (ouch !!)

We are staying at OKW 2 bedroom villa, which would probably be about $700 per night this time of year ($700 * 8 = $5600), but as DVC member were using our points. I know you have to figure in our annual tax payment.....but it was a great investment of $15k about 14 years ago...it has paid for itself multiple times over now !!:thumbsup2

I dont think we are spending very crazy...but its still gonna cost about $6500 WITHOUT a room. I am always amazed at the people who go for $1200 !!:worship:

As little as possible... :rolleyes1

This year we stayed at ASMu, and it was around $300ish with AAA discount for 4 nights. My inlaws bought us 3 day non expiration park hoppers for my birthday ( crazy expensive) but we upgraded and added 5 days to that (one to use while we were there, and 4 to use later) for $300 total (2 tickets).

As for food, we packed as much in our suitcase as possible, and bought 3-4 table service meals, for a total of $250 or so...

other than that, plane tickets were $280 on southwest, with gift cards.

Let's see.....In December DH and I stayed at AKL CL for 8 days/7 nights. We had 5 day park hoppers, tickets to MVMCP, and booked a Trail Ride. Including meals, airfare (from PA), souvenirs and kenneling our dogs (at home)......we came in at about $4900

Well this year it was $3700 for 2 rooms at Pop, 8 day park hoppers for 2 A 3 C and the dining plan. We did BBB for all 3 kids and added 2 TS meals extra. We drove down and used GC I had gotten through our CC and mypoints so gas OOP only cost us $6. I guess it cost US $4000 with all the extras. We had gotten Rewards $$ from our DIsney card and since we went at Christmas the kids had Disney dollars and gift cards from family to use for spending $$$. We bought DVC while we were there so we plan on utilizing that from now on.

Now we went at Christmas and that was the kids Christmas gift. I normally spend about that for Christmas on the 3 kids and DH and I exchanging gifts. Heck some years its been more. We plan on doing it every year and instead of gifts we will go on vacation. My kids need no more toys that they play with for a month so the expense is something I would do anywya.

It depends. As much as I gasp thinking about it, anywhere from $4500 - $10000. We try to stay on the lower-end of that scale. It all depends on where I am staying and for how long. Each trip is at least 6 nights. The price includes everything. Room, transportation, food, souvenirs, tickets and any extras for the trip.

Here goes.

16 nights off site hotel, flights from the UK, car hire and insurance - $6147
14 day Disney ticket - $1083
4 night Wonder cruise - $2830
2 weeks spending money - $2000
Incidental spending (kennels, airport car parking etc.) - $500

Total $12560

Oh well, you only live once!

We went in November for 9 nights at Pop Century 2 adults. This includes the 8 day hopper passes, all the food and souvenirs we could imagine and we only spent $1300.00. We are very fortuante, because of my husbands job we were able to get 40% off of the room and free airfare from Arizona to Florida. I dont think we would be able to go every year if we had to pay the regular prices! :)

We're going in Feb.
Family of 4, children are 12&11.

$3000.00 for 9 nights, 8 day Park Hoppers At Coronado Springs and Air for 4 from Philly on direct flights of my choice,
Got the 4/3 deal and added onto it....

Includes stretch limo from/to Airport in Orlando.
We'll stop on the way from the airport for Groceries, breakfast, snacks, drinks & Daddy Juice to the resort....
Figure another $1600 for eats at Parks.....
We'll share some meals so no waste....

I'm overbudget if + $5000.00..we'll make it....

We get the $200.00 as well.....

Kids have some gift cards from Christmas for trinkets..
We'll just get a sweatshirt each...

Considered a trip to the islands for some real R & R....Liked beaches in Turks Caicos..but it was more, alot more for 9 days....

Money well spent:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Seing the joy & smiles on my kids, can't put a $$ on that...

Now to save for the new DCL ships:scared1:   :earseek:

Without flights...

We are spending ~$2400 on our upcoming trip including:

7 nights at Yacht Club
8 day Park Hoppers
7 nights DxDDP

adding in the extra tips and souvies...

the total will probably end up about $3000 for 2 adults.

In December at the Poly we spent about $4000 for 4 adults plus spending money.

Off hand I'm guessing my May trip to be about $8,000.

Using the Buy 4 get 3 free deal at the Contemporary with Tix. My mom and neice in one room and my brother and I in the 2nd room. It's my 3 y.o nieces 1st trip!

I got cheap airline tickets. Car Service to and from airport. I budgeted $300 a day for food.

I expect to go over the $300 for food, since that includes eating in the parks and more expensive dinners in and outside WDW. Plus, souvenirs, t-shirts, etc.

I imagine it will be more toward $9,000. And if we take my mom shopping somewhere like outlets or in Orlando, I'd say $10,000.

Edit: I forgot to add La Nouba, so add in another $400-500.

DH would love if I could figure out how to go for $1200 :rotfl:

We leave in less than 2 weeks, 10 adults, 1 child (we are taking our adult kids/spouses for their xmas present). With everything, we are spending about $20,000 with airfare being almost $8000 of it.

$850!!!!! DH and I only 4 nights 3 nights free at Pop!!!! We also qualify for the $200 gift card.

OK so that is just for room and Tickets but still the cheapest we have ever been!

We are driving so it will be about $200 for gas. Staying overnight in Atlanta for free at friends house.

Going on vacation with the love of my life ..... Priceless!

Our trips cost about $3,000 for a family of 4, for 11 nights. We stay at Shades of Green, buy our tickets tax-free there, eat breakfast in the room, limit the souvenirs (pictures are really all I need!) and eat counter service most of the time (and split meals), with a few sit-down meals thrown in there.

I have the Disney Visa now, so I'm hoping to accumulate enough points to pay for at least 1 of our park hoppers by our next trip. I also use MyPoints.com to get Rainforest Cafe gift cards and gas gift cards for the drive down.

Well, I've done both ends.....I've done POP w/ free dining and spent a total of $2,000 for all 3 of us (usually 6 or 7 nights) and then I've stayed at the Contemporary for 10 nights and spent 4 times that

This trip will end up being roughly $6,000 for the 3 of us. However, we're staying AKL CL, going to Discovery Cove and doing a lot of "extra" things we've never done before.

i love the idea of doing new things

Our last trip was in 2006 and for our family (2A, 2C, and 2 under 3) it was just over $5000. We stayed offsite for 14 days and drove (from MA :scared1: ) down to Orlando.
This time we aren't sure if we are flying or not. depends on gas prices and flight costs as the trip gets closer. However we are still putting aside somewhere around $1000 for travel. Our condo is booked and cost us around $300 for the exchange (2 weeks in the condo, and we don't pay for our timeshare fees, gift from IL's). Our tickets will cost $1614, and MNSSHP will set us back about $300. We will cook some in the condo, but we're on vacation, so not a lot. We set aside around $1000 for food, and the kids have about $100 each saved in Disney dollars for souvies.
So:
travel around $1000 (could be way more, or way less)
lodging $300
Tickets $1916
Food $1000
Souveniers $400

Estimated TOTAL $4716

I think it may be a little less this time ONLY because we aren't hitting US and Sea World.
