I am scheduled for the December 16th Land/Sea Cruise. I am starting to try and save money. I already know approx. how much I should plan to spend on the land portion of my trip but I want to make sure that I have enough for the 4-day cruise portion.

I am looking for how much your bill was a 4-day cruises (I already paid for the cruise itself). Also, please include was what you bought (ie. soda card, beer mug, photos from Shutters, excursions, spa).

I am not looking at doing this 'on the cheap'. I just want to know what to expect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Here is what we have budgeted:

$100 for tips.
$100 for bar drinks (we get free AAA mugs for sodas)
$200 for Shutters (photos)
$200 for shopping on ship (we aren't disembarking @ Nassua)

So that's a total of $600.00. Plus we are taking an extra $500.00 to rebook our next cruise while onboard!

Hope this helps you out a little.

Suzanne,

I have just been going over my budget for our upcoming 3 night cruise. This is our first, so I have nothing to compare it too, but I hope it helps:

Parking at Port: $10 per day
Tips: $44 per person (not per night)
Unlimited Internet: $39.99 (we are travelling with teens)
Soda stickers: $15 per person (expecting to purchase 1 or 2)
Palo: $10 per person (dinner)
Catamaran Snorkel at Nassau: $42 per person
Castaway floats: $6 per person
Castaway snorkels: $25 per person
Rainforest unlimited use: $30 per person
Pictures from Shutters: $85
Alcohol/Smoothies/Snacks: $50 per day (5 people)
Video Arcade: $50 (for the teens)

I'm going to a local spa the day before my trip for the manicure/pedicure/facial and waxing just because I want my fingernails and toenails to look good when we get on the ship and the facial/waxing tends to look nicer on the second day. I haven't budgeted for a massage on the cruise, because we plan on doing that at the resort instead.

I like tawasdave's idea....... just bring extra...... and if you have great servers or steward you will want to reward them. you will see what we mean. they are great.
