How much money for tolls?

We're renting a car from MCO to get to POR. When DH and I went 5 years ago, we stopped at tolls, had NO idea there were going to be any tolls, and ripped through my purse to see what I could find. Luckily we found enough money, but now that we're preparing for our trip in four days, we want to make sure we have enough change with us. How much do we need? Thanks so much!

I seem to recall there were 2 toll booths of $1.25 each when we were in Orlando in July

depends on your route

528 to I-4 is a 75 cents less but can have significantly more traffic depending on time and day of week

I prefer 417

all the mainline toll plazas take cash, a roll of quarters will see you thru

on 417 note that plazas look like exits off to the right as the electronic lanes don't have to slow . . .

If you use 417 it will be $1.50x2=$3.00 you can use quarters in the far left lane of the toll booths. Make sure you use exit 6 when going from the airport to WDW or you will get hit with an additional toll. Most GPS units and Google Maps push you to Exit 3 so pay attention and exit at 6

This is correct. Just to clarify, SR-417 has two tolls of $1.50. You may save a little time if you bring exact coins.

The other point is also important. You may save a little toll money taking SR-528, but you also have to get on I-4 for a few miles to finish the trip to Disney. Especially at rush hour, I-4 can be a mess. I'd highly recommend SR-417. That's the route Magical Express always uses.

Also, SR-417, also known as the Greeneway, is accessed by following airport signs for the South Exit. (SR-528, a.k.a. the BeeLine or BeachLine, is accessed via the airport North Exit)
