How much luggage will fit in a full size car?

We are renting a full size car this summer when we are out west. I was looking into buying another piece of luggage, but DH is afraid we won't have enough trunk space. I was planning on possibly using a 32" suitcase (this would be the new one), as well as one smaller suitcase (I think it is about a 27")... plus a few smaller carry-ons. Would this all fit easily in the trunk of a full-size car? We haven't own a regular car in years, so it is hard to remember what they hold! We may be able to get away with using our two smaller suitcases, but I'm just not sure! HELP!............P

Depends on the full sized car. Each manufacturer has a web site with the sizes of the trunks listed there.
The largest full size trunks are those in the Impala and Intrepid. We fit a TON of stuff in those trunks. what you listed would fit, no problem in the cars I mentioned.

Make sure your 32" is not over the airline size limit.

we own a ford taurus, which we also get as a full sized rental a lot. you can fit A LOT in the trunk. i think you should be fine fitting all that into a trunk of a full size.
