How much is your 2016 Disney vacation going to cost you?

2 adults, 2 kids 11/19-11/24
Port Orleans French Quarter
Dining Plan
4 day park hopper
$3035

How much is it going to cost? A freaking fortune, imo. $457.54/night for 4 nights... just for the room alone.

Will now cost me nothing. I will have to cancel and re-schedule for 2017. Of course the change means my DD (flying in from California) can join me and my DS (both adults).

I'm sorry :< 2017 will be here before you know it pixiedust:

10/22-10/29
Me, DH, DS8, DMiL, DFiL - we're splitting everything, pretty much. Our cost is in ( ).

6 nights in FW cabin - $2,123.17 ($1061.59)
5-Day base tix from UT - ($900)
MNSSHP tix for 5 - ($479.27 ) we're paying for all of them, as a surprise
Golf cart rental for the week - $385 ($192.50)
Budgeted food - (~$500 OOP) I've got over $300 in Disney Visa rewards we'll put towards food and I have a sneaky suspicion that the ILs will try to pay for a lot of meals.
Memory Maker - ($149) I paid for it and don't expect them to give me half - not a big deal
Gas/food for travel - $150

Trip so far: ~$5,600
Our Total so far: ~$3,430 plus souvenirs, stuff I'll buy leading up to the trip, food/snacks for the cabin

2 Adults & 1 infant, 5 nights at Pop Century (standard room), 6 day park hoppers with free dining (upgraded to regular dining plan instead of quick service) $1793
Free air fair with my husbands frequent flyer miles
Budgeting $1000 for OOP food, souvenirs, gratuity etc

Less than $3000 :)

$3715 for 2 adults 2 Disney adults POR garden view. Free dining 8/27-9/4. And yesterday I added the day before with room only for $215 and was able to get the flight changed for only $12. Airfare for 4 from NY was $1500. So excited !!!!

I am a DVC member...but my friend just priced out a 8 day trip in a moderate with dining plan for 4 with park hoppers.....before he ever was going to buy a plane ticket it was $6,000....which is absolutely outrageous IMO

our upcoming DVC vacation would have been (we are renting a house now)

-7 nights at OKW (points, I want count the dues to be charitable)
- 4 park hopper passes $1,600+
- food/other items $1,500
- airfare $1,000

so if i dont count the $1,500 i pay for my DVC dues.....it will cost $4,100

I still think a lot of people overlook timeshares and trading as good way to make Disney cheaper. I just traded into 3 weeks in 1BR villas (2 Saratoga springs, 1 animal kingdom lodge Savannah view) and it cost me all in less than $2000. I didn't pay more than $1000 for my timeshares, my dues are less than $400 annually, and I use them regularly outside of Disney too. All of this would have cost me over $11k at normal rates. The drawback with RCI training into DVC is that you have to be flexible when you go and where (I have gotten bay lake tower and beach club before but it's rare now).

About $5300. Honeymoon for 10 days at Beach Club. We have 10 day park hoppers, DDP, memory maker, and a garden view. Normally we would not splurge like this but since it our honeymoon we decided to splurge. Normally you'd find me at Pop Century.

Nov. 9-13, 2016. 2 adults, just my husband and I this trip. 1 night at Pop Century due to a very late arrival ($104 tax included) and 3 nights at BWI standard view with 4 day park hoppers $1685. Total of $1789 not including air and food and souvenirs. Can't wait!! pixiedust:

hi, i was just looking at pop for around that time. how did you get 30% discount? i thought the values were 15 or 20%? i am out of practice at this so appreciate any input. thanks : )

IDK what the op had, but 30% is the typical military discount for values. (35 mods and 40 deluxe.)

Sept 4 - 10, 2016
Two adults
Pop Century 6 nights - $512.62 (Back to School discount plus additional 17% discount from Cheaptickets.com)
Airfare for two - Detroit to Orlando - $232.11, Orlando to Detroit - $0 (Aeroplan points)
Two 5-day WDW passes - $0 (Air Miles).

Total for two - $744.73 (plus food) :D:D:D

We can't even go on a weekend trip to an amusement park close to home for that!!!

For DH and myself:
9 nights at CSR
Free regular DDP
8 day PH's-$2926
MNSSHP and Dessert party about $320

R/T non-stop SW flights from Louisville: $400(used some credits, would have been about $600)

Total for 2: $3646 -of course we will spend some OOP on a couple of additional meals as we like signature spots and I will likely add MM.

DISNEY IS NOT CHEAP!!!

Almost makes me cry to think back to when we could stay a week at Poly for that-and that was for 3 people with a dining plan!
