Airfare is $130.00 per ticket more this year than our last trip, summer 2010.

Well THIS is a depressing thread. :faint: (for me, that is...)

While I am reclutant to state what we spent/are spending on our WDW vacation(s) this year, this thread did prompt me to tally everything up. :coffee:

Let's just say I am the greatest dad on earth! :)

Cheers

I'm seeing an increase in some areas and a decrease in others. We're bringing an extra child so that adds on obviously. Our hoppers were a great deal. :thumbsup2 Our return flight was über cheap $125 from MCO to SLC and we used miles for half of them. We own DVC so that's paid for. Best decision ever! :lovestruc We added a night at the AoA so there's another $298 with a AAA rate. Food, treats, and F&W will be astronomical but the DDP doesn't work for us and we'll spend less than if we use the DDP. Then there's groceries and booze and the TiW card, so another $400 there. Tips. Souvenirs. Etc etc...

A lot. :teeth:

Me, DH and DS5

Aug.7 - 14

CSR Standard $1092.00
7 day reg tix $766.85 (Undercover Tourist)
Food OOP $1000.00 (hoping to keep it to $700)
Souveniers $100.00 (just for DS. DH and I don't need any)
Airfare $532.89 (2 comp, but had to pay taxes on them)
Misc $300.00 (okay, I really mean adult bevies::yes::)

Total $3491.74

Still may order Garden Grocer, need to buy insurance, pay $60 to book seat selection and pay for parking at YYZ airport.

In 2010 we went also 7 nights but in May, stayed at AKL pool view, same park tix, same air deal and spent about $4933. Had a $750 gift card from Disney promo, so actually spent $4183

No more comp air left, so next trip will have to be more creative. I think it may be time to go value during FD!

Not exactly sure how much it will end up costing but these are approximate figures:

Driving from Texas.
Gas $500
Hotels on the road approx $450 (staying 2 nts on the beach so not cheap)
2 nts BWV 2 bedroom/2 nts BLT 2 bedroom (no cost since sister is DVC member)
Dining plan for 2 nights 6 adults/1 child (paying for my sister and brother since sister is giving us the DVC nights) $650
1 week Marriott Harbour 2 bedroom (paid SIL who owns timeshare) $750
Non-expiring 10 day park hoppers w/ fun options (cost split over 3 visits) $800
Universal Studios season passes (4 adults/1 child) $1000
1 night Hard Rock Hotel $200

Total $4350 (but this does not include food not covered by dining plan, pre-paid photopass and other purchases during trip). Kinda seems like a lot since we aren't paying anything for the on-site hotel.

Total: approx $8,000 plus spending money .... Memories = priceless!!!!

Me & DB
October 14-19th
5 day tickets with Park Hopper
6 days, 5 nights at POFQ
Airfare Bufalo-Orlando
=

$2007.
1003.50 each.
Not bad!

We are from Maine as well and have felt the airfare crunch as well. We are DVC, TIW and annual pass holders so basically it's only the airfare that we have to pay for. We almost always fly out of Portland Jetport but in Sept we flew Manchester.

Sept 2011 $647.00 2 kids 2 adults
Dec 2011 $ 440.00 2 adults
April 2012 $ 820.00 2 kids 2 adults
October 2012 $ 960.00 2 kids 2 adults

So basically in a year it's gone up over 300.00 for our trip. I know it's still much cheaper than most get it, so I don't complain but to my DH. I am just thankful to be able to go as often as we do. If it wasn't for us finally taking the plunge on our DVC two years ago we wouldn't be able to go as often as we do.

If we were to break it down we pay in maintenance fees, loan payments, annual passes to disney, sw, us, ioa, busch, and aquatica, airfare X 4 about 9000.00 a year. Divide this by 4 trips and we average about 2250 per trip is what our actual costs come out to. That of course doesn't include food or souvenirs. I like that idea since we like to stay deluxe and can do so with our DVC. Thats with figuring 4 people in it too. Those figures aren't exact but close estimates, so give or take a few hundred for any change or expenses I forgot. For example I didn't add this Octobers MNSSHP tickets. Typically we spend anywhere from 10 - 14 days per trip as well. I <3 my DVC. :lovestruc

We are going Dec 22-27th....have 2 rooms-prefered(non poolside) at POP.....2 adults, 4 kids (10+). we have 6 day hopper passes......still holding out and hoping for free dining.....our total cost for the trip is $4149. we do drive down and have budgeted @600 for the travel expenses down and back.....right now we are in the process of saving the spending/food money as the trip is paid:cool1:

we were there in 2010 and stayed at CBR with 30%off PIN(took that over the free dining that was offered) we had a prefered room and hopper passes for 7 days(6 nights) and we spent right @ 4200.....all in all, not a bad price for then, but are spending the same amount for POP prefered-1 less night & day.....still a better place for xmas-heres hoping for warm weather(it was a bit of a cold spell last time)

Specifics

2 Adults
Last week in August
6days/5 nights

Breakdown of costs

Gas- 7 hour drive - $200
Package deal (hotel[POP] + MYW base tickets[5day]) - $1,057
FREE QS Dining plan - $0 :)
Buying DisneyQuest Ticket - $ 60
Souvenirs-$200
(I like to collect disney pins, so I bought a lot set of 100 on ebay for around $60, plan to trade while there)

TOTAL: $1,517 :cool1:
............................................probably will be up to $500 more than that. I will maybe go for 1 table service meal and spring for more stuff, maybe

never gone for so cheap before, well I've always gone with my parents during Christmas/new years eve, and they liked to stay at the contemporary resort. Anyway, I think what me and my bf are spending on our whole trip is equal to what my parents paid in one day (maybe 2) in their vacation. So I am extremely pleased.
