As a follow-up to another post, just thought it would be neat to go ahead and count my change in the vacation jar!
So how neat would it be to post how much we all have in our change/vacation jars, and how long we have been saviing?!?
Here is mine: Saving for 5 months. $60 in paper + $56 in coin = $116!!! This equals to saving almost a dollar a day! Not too bad! I had told DH that we would only use vacation money for this April trip if it was $100 or more. Guess we will be using it for Disney!!! + $56 in coin = $116!!! This equals to saving almost a dollar a day! Not too bad! I had told DH that we would only use vacation money for this April trip if it was $100 or more. Guess we will be using it for Disney!!!

I've been saving since we got back from our trip in Jan. and when the jar was full it had $149.65. So I've rolled that and have $32.50 now. That's $182.15 since Jan.!! I love it, I finally found a way to save money. I absolutely will not spend any change!!
. She knows that if she wants something, she needs to budget that money. It's amazing to watch her do that and it sure does save me from the "I wants"
. It's been working out very well for us. There's probably about $35 in the jar, right now, since our November trip.
Every $400 I deposit into my checking account and then move over to ING. So "technically" since September of last year DH and I have $1000 in savings!
ISN'T THAT AWESOME??!!
I deposited $400 that I had saved up in December and then I did it again this past February. Not bad I would say, being able to save $800 that quickly, huh??
