How Much Does Your House Resemble Your DVC?

interesting thread.....
much of our decor was intentionally like WDW or simply disney (master bdrm is done in full grand floridian style, with the comforter, 5 HUGE pillows, bedskirt, & drapes all purchased from the GF remodel , the den rug is from the yacht club entrance, & there are MANY cels, big figs, etc throughout the house).
but i never realized that our entire lower lowel & pool area has an early atlantic city boardwalk feel ~ carny games & fun at a beachside resort (with pool table, ping-pong, pinball, & pictures/wall decor very similar to the BWVs). & our backyard landscaping/pool is similar to the BWVs, on a much smaller scale, sans clown slide & elephants, but with striped awnings, lots of white wood seating (benches, rockers, etc) & tropical plants in big pots.

now i understand why i'm happy in our home, & feel at home at the BWVs :cloud9:

& you have gorgeous homes, kickapoo & doc!!!

Those pix are wonderful!

I have the same "many mickeys" lamp

The inside of my house is infested with disney things, as well, I'll have to take a pix (I'm home with a sick kid today so looking to entertain myself, lol)

There's no theme on the inside, though, I just am very attracted to anything colorful (I have the decorating sensibilities of a six year old: ooh, pretty, let's put it up!) All the art/photos on the wall are Disney, the one on the left is from EPCOT, the F&G show from 2006, the big one on the right is from the Festival of the Masters from who knows when...

That teeny tiny little jar on top of the fish tank is a dragon fruit plant we bought at EPCOT-it's a cell culture from a plant at The Land. It's growing really, really slowly. It needs indirect light and that ended up being the best place for it. I can't imagine it's going to ever be as big as the ones at The Land, but my older DD loves it :).

I'll have to go check out JCPenney next month to look at the sheets-that sound really cool!

We have the Mickey and Minnie same picture done by Williardson ( spelling? )
over our fireplace....I just love the colors in the painting!!!

Ours is a resort-themed lifestyle ... although not so much in visual decoration. Our primary home enjoys "location, location, location," in a popular area of San Diego. Our complex has a pool, hot tub, community center, dry heat sauna, tennis courts, nice landscaping and perfect year-round weather. We can walk to 16 restaurants, two multi-screen theaters, shopping, grocery, banks, post office, dry cleaners ... pretty much anything one might need.

But the kicker: we only stay Sun-Thurs nights! There you have it, we live like DVC. :rotfl:
