Excuse me Doc? But I have seen alot of healthy 300 lb plus people. My ex is 6'6 close to 300 lb's, plays b-ball three times a week, no HTN, or CHF that I'm aware of, he is not Diabetic, or has he had an MI. Why so hateful?

Two years ago I weighed in around 220 pounds at 5'5". I wore a size 22/24.

One year ago I weighed in at 209 pounds. I wore a size 20.

I got tired of being tired, I got tired of being out of shape, I got tired of being hot all the time, I got tired of looking at my body. I wanted to live to see my son grow up and knew was cutting my chances of being around for him if I didn't make a lifestyle change.

Today I weigh 163 pounds on my weigh down to 148. I wear a comfortable size 14 and some clothes I fit into a 12. I am healthier today than I was 18 years ago at 140 pounds because back then I starved myself to lose weight and it eventually all came back and then some. Now I am eating healthy, I exercise three times a week for an hour, my high blood pressure is a thing of the past and I can now keep up with my 7 year old son.

I am very happy with myself. If I never lose another pound I will still be happy with myself too. But I am still working on moving downward, for me.

Well this was some response!!!!

I was not sure which Direction it would have gone...

I agree that hight not being taken into account sure does gum-up the poll, see I am at my perfect weight, if I was 7'6"...

I was hoping fro more... Did or din't fit in an attraction seat responses too...

Thanks to the honest people out there!

5'7" and around 150...have to check tonight at work....haven't been on a scale in awhile..

Fisney rides seem to fit us "normal people" so why the pressure to be skinny? Have you ever NOT FIT in a Disney atraction? I had that happen to me at a 6-flags park in NJ... but never Dsiney...[/B]

That is an odd reason to not be concerned about healthy weight maintenance.

And I did not find DocRafiki's response to sound at all hateful.

Let's see 5'6" almost 5'7" and I weigh 165 lbs. I am a comfretable size 12...

I would like to lose about 20 lbs... at the most. Just to feel better, looking better is a plus. I get tired easy now, I have no muscle at all...

Just want to feel healthier!

I'm 5'7 and weigh 142. I would LOVE to lose 10 pounds but instead of losing the 10 pounds I ordered 10 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies:rolleyes:

I'm happy and that's what matters most.

5'4" and weigh 177lbs:(
Very sad because when I was younger I ate what ever I wanted and would had a hard time gaining weight. Only weighed 100 pounds at the end of high school. Never thought much about it. Had four kids and each time kept on a little more weight after the birth of each kid. Felt & looked much better BUT a few years ago I started feeling tired all the time and gaining weight for no reason. Turns out I have a bad thyroid. So for the last 2 years I have been working on what medication works for me and I still have not really ever gotten back to feeling GREAT!!! And CAN"T lose a pound for nothin. So if any of you have hypothyroidism and have lost weight PLEASE do tell.

I am 5'4" and weigh 145 (as of this morning). I would love to lose about 10 more pounds, but my major concern is toning up. When I stopped Weight Watchers when I was diagnosed with cancer I weighed about 155, but I was in really good shape, because I exercised every day. I have not been able to exercise for over 6 months now, and it shows. My hips and lower tummy won't allow me to get in a size lower than a 14. Drives me crazy, especially when I see people that weigh the same as me and are the same height wearing a smaller size!! I have "size envy" I think!!
